I have a few ideas such as the connection with new people, being opened to new things, knowing how to balance out time with your friends and with your lover, getting all parties to understand, stuff like that. Some people don't know how to balance out time with their friends when they have a boyfriend or girlfriend and this might be a good way to show how! All obvious stuff that you could've come up with before me!

He's employed as Cadence's guard, not Twilight's. But this could also be a good way to demonstrate more of Cadence's powers. She can bring love and light together, so this would be the perfect opportunity to get more in depth with that ability. It would be stupid to just come up with an idea and then just drop it for the sake of episodes that have nothing to do with it! Even if it is a kid show.

A lot of people make claims that Flash has no personality, in which case i wonder if anyone has actually taken a good look at his character. Here's a few things I can point out;
1) He is shameless; I got a few hints on that but the primary ones are of course his dancing with Twilight, but also the fact that he did not hesitate to rummage through what logically would have been several school bins to find that evidence for Twilight's framing. How weird would that have looked to his peers?
2) He is clumsy; do i need to explain that bit? Walking into doors? Which could also hint at Flash having a one tracked mind.
3) He respects either women in general or just women he is attracted to; We did not see him interact with any girl but Twilight hence the 'or' option. But when he did he did not once disrespect her in any way. Even when she turned him down. Which is more that can be said for many.
4) He could have experienced a lot of rejection in the past; see how he did not seem overly surprised at being rejected by Twilight nor barely react? This COULD symbolise heart break and lack of self esteem issues underneath his confidence. But this is could be wrong.
5) He's charismatic; a lot of people simply refer to him as a generic 'nice guy' but i have had enough experience to know that the generic nice guy isn't really that. Generic nice guys are usually more drooly about their affections and lack any actual charisma and try to make up for it with good deeds and favours. Usually generic nice guys lack outward confidence. Flash distributes outward confidence and a sort of wit in his vocabulary. He's the kind of guy you would not hate if you knew him in real life.
6) He's nosy; He was really quick to start rummaging through bins when his love interest got involved.
7) He cares a lot about his hair; how much gel do you think hair that long would need to stay spiked up?
Those are some of the key things i've noticed about flash sentry.
