I've already touched up on this. Either he didn't ask about it because he didn't care either way since he knew he already liked Twilight for her and wanted to be considerate thinking that asking her might've been sensitive, personal, or something of that nature so he just thought "It's not my business, so I'll just let it go."; at some point, maybe he had seen magic like that before and there would be a whole story to that that could possibly be a prequel to the movie's story; or he did ask but it was just off-screen.

I'd say he's one of the best since he was a legitimately likeable character, was voiced by one of the icons of my childhood, took after Pinkie Pie's example and had a good backstory, was fun and hilarious, and yeah, he has a funny name!
I won't compare him to Flash Sentry because they both fall into different categories as characters and comparing one to the other would be unfair.
