Hello, everyone, I am Count Author Brainstorm! I am here to bring you something a little different from My Little Pony or Castlevania this Halloween. I've decided to make a tribute to a different series made with dark magic and the psyche in mind! The Persona series, created by ATLUS! Getting into this series, I've actually started to open my eyes with just how deep and psychological it can get! It's actually blown my mind in both how it's written and how it's presented. As some of you know, Personas 3 and 4 introduced a feature known as the Social Link System where you befriend various people in your journey through life and help them grow as people as you go on while at the same time, you gain more powers as a Persona user. I really like this system and I REALLY hope it comes back in Persona 5! It's the literal form of the phrase "Friendship Is Magic!" Now for this Halloween special, I'm giving you a little treat! A trip down memory lane for me! A little demonstration of how a Persona Main Protagonist would go about it, but with a few twists.

0-Fool: MILES "TAILS" PROWER (Social Link: Myself)

My starting Persona, Tails. Much like how his debut game was the very first game I ever played, I really connected with this character at a young age and that never ended. Tails has always been my favorite character of the Sonic The Hedgehog series and has been the source of some of my earliest ideas. It also helps that he and I seem to have the same backstory where we were little kids who wanted to be cool and didn't even get smart yet until after he met someone cool to look up to. This helped open my mind to becoming the man I am today.

I-Magician: ROLF (Social Link: My Brother)

Whenever my life changed and I moved away from one place to another, I would find someone to call a "best friend" and whenever that happened, somehow, we all agreed that Rolf was our favorite character from one of our all-time favorite shows, "Ed, Edd, N Eddy". His unpredictability and hilarious nature as well as inhuman strength makes this son-of-a-shepherd a force to be reckoned with. And somehow, he also does magic.

II-Priestess: YEKATERINA "UKRAINE" BRAGINSKAYA (Social Link: My Sister)

The shy types always seem to intrigue me a lot. Perhaps because some of the best people I've ever met were the shy type. Perhaps it's because I have that side of me. A side of me that wishes that he could just spend my whole life in a comfortable shelter away from everything and everyone, but I'm conflicted because I also want to go out into the world and make something of myself. Everyone I met had that same feeling and because of that, I had to grow stronger if I was gonna get anywhere in life. Ukraine is a product of my relationships with people who understood that side of me as I understood them.

III-Empress: QUEEN ELSA (Social Link: My Mother)

As a fan of the cold, beauty, and catchy songs, Elsa is my best pick for this as well as the fact that I have a side of myself that wishes to keep things in check as much as I can and when things turn really wrong, it becomes difficult for me to handle it at first and it makes me regret it. Fortunately, I almost always have someone there to help get me back up to my feet so I can keep trying.

IV-Emperor: RYOGA HIBIKI (Social Link: My Father)

Strong willpower and stubborn pigheadedness... And the fact that I have a history of being terrible with reading directions and get frustrated when I lose my way. Fortunately, I don't turn into a pig when I hit cold water, but that's neither here nor there. I also fortunately know how to channel anything that frustrates or angers me into something productive...provided I remember how when the necessary time comes.

V-Hierophant: RYU (Social Link: )

I've taken many words of wisdom and advice from others and given my own to others many times in life and something tells me that will continue for many years to come. That is what it means to have Ryu as my Persona for this. I've been both a student and a teacher in many things on a never-ending journey for knowledge, wisdom, and fortitude. What? You want to know if you can ask me for advice? SHORYUKEN!!!

VI-Lovers: PRINCESS CADENCE (Social Link: My Girlfriend)

Obvious symbol of Love is obvious, yes but there is more to this Arcana than just Love. All decisions lead to a conclusion and my decision to become a Brony around the time when Princess Cadence debuted was one that changed my life that has still yet to reach its conclusion. Besides, Love is pretty much my biggest driving force. Fortunately, I've learned from my unwise decisions thanks to those that I loved the most and became stronger as a result.

VII-Chariot: VANGUARD IKE (Social Link: Spring Chicken)

I fight for my friends. I've had many occasions happen where I had to not only defend the people I cared about, but also raise them up to fight with me and to get them to not be afraid of the world anymore. A lot of this happened when I was in Middle School....which was when I first got into the Fire Emblem series thanks to Path Of Radiance and Ike quickly became one of my favorite characters. This went into high school where I finally learned how to grow up and REALLY fight for my friends! I became the defender instead of the victim! I gave my friends a shoulder to cry on. I gave advice when they were needed, and I even beat up a guy who was cheating on one of my best friends whom I was looking out for! (I caught him in the act!) So with that, I say The Radiant Hero of Legend brings the Light as my Persona for the Chariot Arcana!

VIII-Justice: CAPTAIN AMERICA (Social Link: Farm Boss)

Though there were times when I was the only one who could stand and fight life's problems for the ones I was defending. Sometimes defending is all I can really do. And boy have you seen a lot of that from me. Some say I should be an attorney...but anyways, if something or someone gets unfairly disrespected, deceived, or hurt in any way, I would gladly stick my neck out and become the shield to defend at any time! Especially if they can't do so themselves. Captain America best represents that and has always been my favorite Marvel hero!

IX-Hermit: JINGLE (Social Link: My Own Doubts)

When I was a kid, the one dream I've always had was to be a hermit or a nomad. Jingle was one of the best examples of that for me when I watched Hamtaro. He's still one of my favorites from that anime and represents that dream rather well. He's the kind of nomad that helps others when needed, provides wisdom in a very cryptic-yet-artistic way. Sometimes I still wish I could just lay back anywhere and forget what I was worrying about. If only it were that easy. My own inner demons keep asking me why I stick around through all the chaos of society. Sometimes I wonder so much that it applies stress on me. Some days I just wish I could just give up and leave. But the I'm brought back by good reminders.

X-Fortune: FIONA MAYFIELD (Social Link: My Long Lost Friend)

An Ethereal Spirit of Metal, Fiona as a Persona represents the old virtue of "Gift VS Curse" and reminds one to not take anything for granted. You never know how fortunate you really are until you lose something. If you can find the right opportunity to take back what you've lost, then you may have been granted fortune...or perhaps another carrot is being dangled in your nose. Fiona's fighting style matches her quest to regain what she's lost through the use of a slow-yet-powerful buster-sword form as well as the risky-yet-rewarding power of Orichalkos, the Metal Dragon. Do you feel luck, punk? Also, she's my Main in "Arcana Heart 3 Love Max!!!!!"

XI-Strength: WANDER & SYLVIA (Social Link: Childhood Friend)

Wander, however represents that same dream to a "T", but in his own way. Wander has the gift of being able to literally go anywhere and experience anything depending on the time and place and is always willing to help people with anything now matter what it is. The helper seeks to help, for he knows what it's like to be helpless. Sylvia represents the external style of strength of the body while Wander represents the internal strength of heart.

XII-Hanged Man: ROCK LEE (Social Link: My Rival)

Held down by limitations, shot down by potential teachers or employers, but never gave up on one's style and kept going until they found something they were good at with their strength and determination. That is the story of Rock Lee from "Naruto" in a nutshell. It's a story that I can't help but admire, which is why Rock Lee is my Persona for this Arcana. I'm finally starting to understand more of my strengths and weaknesses so I can finally get up somewhere in life.

XIII-Death: COUNT DRACULA (Social Link: My Distant Enemy)

The darkest part of my mind is one of insanity, perversion, and fascination for dark-themed things...and vampires! Dracula, the Prince Of Darkness, is the most iconic monster in horror and is also a reference to a certain backstory for a part of my mind where I overcame and devoured the Count and took his Castle. Yeah, Castle Brainstorm used to be Castlevania. The mischievous cackling you hear from me comes from this part. And even I have my dark and brooding moments. I'm actually very glad that my loved ones are able to put up with that.

XIV-Temperance: FLASH DRIVE (Social Link: My Group)

How ironic that the symbol of balance and moderation would be the set of characters that I've been spending a lot of time developing the past few years. Channeling the virtues of Vigor, Humility, Integrity, and the desire for Justice, the four members of Flash Drive play music to shine a light through the darkness and raise up spirits for both me and my friends. I have made a LOT of friends thanks to the works done by fellow fans of these characters and I'm glad to have helped contribute to that. In a way, these guys are a cornerstone to my sanity.

XV-Devil: RAIDEN (Social Link: Possible Demon [Kidding...])

All of my extreme feelings are found here. Anger, Sadness, Happiness, and everything in between. Without moderation from Flash Drive, Raiden would go Jack The Ripper on everyone. Much like how without the love I feel for everyone, I would have done something I would have regretted myelf. A painful part of me still exists to want to hurt others, but it's through my loved ones and my discipline that I was able to find my way back to the light. Still, it's good to have a bit of a tough side in one's self so that you don't just let people walk all over you.

XVI-Tower: BAHAMUT (Social Link: My Own Despair)

The creation of a tower, the prosperous times, and the looming threat of destruction is just the way the Tower Arcana works. A great buildup that led a great downfall. Bahamut is the highest ranking dragon set to landscape through entire worlds should they not be desired anymore. Bahamut is destruction incarnate and represents the many occurances of things going well in life only for it to be interrupted by something harsh that causes it to crumble. But once the dust settles, a light can still shine and rebuilding what was destroyed can still be possible.

XVII-Star: ROSALINA (Social Link: My Loved Ones)

Hope, light, happiness. Those are the feelings that the Star Arcana tries to convey. To fully understand this, one must be familiar with Rosalina's Storybook from her debut game, Super Mario Galaxy where in her quest to find her mother, she began to realize that her desire was hopeless. Despite this, however, her Luma's gave her a new hope, a new purpose by just simply being there for her. This represents my love for helping others by encouraging them to keep trying. Even if they should give up on one thing, that doesn't mean that all is lost. There is still more to the world to live for. Remember this well. As long as there are stars twinkling in the sky, there's always a light of hope in the shadows of despair.

XVIII-Moon: NiGHTS (Social Link: My Overactive Imagination)

Creativity, imagination, dreams... That's me and NiGHTS in a nutshell. NiGHTS, the Patriot of Dreams flies to the aid of those suffering from nightmares. Coming up with ideas, whether it be through daydreams or dream-filled sleep, I'm always coming up with some crazy ideas. NiGHTS has the strength and resolve to support and protect everyone's ideals and desires. If you dream it, she'll fight for it in her own graceful and charming way!

XIX-Sun: SUN WUKONG (Social Link: My Own Determination)

The very symbol of optimism and accomplishment, Sun Wukong, the Monkey King is unpredictability to the nth degree. The Monkey King loves to make jokes to get others to laugh, find ways for himself to have fun, and most of all, he loves to spread the feelings of euphoria through accomplishing a hard task. To do so, Sun Wukong represents willpower and determination. This Persona gives me the valor I need to tackle a hard job and see it through to the end so that way I won't be stuck with "What-If's". Nobody likes those...

XX-Judgment: AEON (Social Link: My Lord)

The desire to learn, understand, and accept the facts of the world around you and yourself are just what this Arcana stands for and Aeon's never-ending quest to find his own place in existence while being the Guardian of the Time Rift has led him to becoming a Persona for my Judgment Arcana. With an endless world comes endless potential and I aim to see it all one day. One way or another. And...Time Marches On!

XXI-World: KIRBY (Social Link: My True Self)

The World, the Universe, the Infinite! That is Kirby! Kirby himself is the harbinger of life, death, creation, destruction, order, chaos, and the one that understands all while understanding nothing. Kirby IS True Harmony given form. To understand Kirby, one must remember that he is his own plain of existence. With True Harmony in mind, Kirby is able to defeat those who cannot be defeated, bring peace to both the subconscious and conscious minds, and lighten your mood with his cute charm and plethora of abilities. Kirby is The World!
