Aye, never assume that somebody is what they look like. One of my best friends came off initially as super cold and as a hardcore death metal head (later we connected on), but then I got to know him and learned that he's super nice and caring for his wee band of friends and likes calm music like piano stuff and is kind of awkward around people he doesn't know. We're now best best best friends ever. It's awesome.
