Description
Prize for for her contest entry for Light and Dark (October 2010).Her request was 'Sir Arthur in a silly dramatic pose'. It was the 'silly' part that got me caught. I really don't have that great sense of humor and...it didn't help that Sir Arthur doesn't have any arms...or legs...or neck... <_<
My approach was to try to over dramatize everything. The background was originally going to have a big lightening storm...but I decided against it because I don't have a good variety of grays that I wanted to use for the sky and rock. I'm quite happy with the waves though and I think the overall picture came out pretty good.
So anyways, congratulations!
Sir Arthur belongs to Nintendo and HAL.

Wow! This is amazing!! I love the dazzling colors you used, and the traditional Japanese style you used for the sun and moon in particular, as well as the sword and crashing waves. Shading a cape is always tough (well, at least for me ), but you pulled it off with aplomb! And for some reason I really like the way you drew the rock. ^^ Besides, Arthur & co. need more love.
Though Meta Knight still holds the title of "Drama King." ;3

Japanese style? Sweet. I just chose the colors based on the markers I had and the best way to use their bright colors.
Meta Knight, Meta Knight, Meta Knight...the Drama King. I like that. XD
