A life changer for me, this. Had a super hard time picking nice colours due to my wonky colour vision (red/green. Not severe, but bad enough) and these tricks just made ALL the difference. Thank you so much. Can't believe I haven't thought of this sooner. It basically simulates the colour ofΒ the ambient lighting adding to everything.

I can now actually say I've coloured a picture where your trick has IMMENSELY helped it to turn out better. Thank you! I even have separate 'before' and 'after' pictures saved.

30% and 70% in Photoshop don't add up to 100% for me. There's still about 12% of the background color showing.

Try putting the 70% colour as a solid colour (100%) then lay the 30% over it, at actual 30%

i have a question? with the 9 colors instead of 3. do u use those for lights an shadows or are they just there for if you just well wanna use that color instead of the other? a lil lost i apologize
