A tutorial on how to make a unified color palette, aka how to make colors look good next to each other. Not a lot of people understand how color works, and while this isn't the end-all be-all, it certainly helps when you're stuck.Thanks for looking!

I love youuu! This was a real eye opener, thank you! I'm usually extremely apprehensive when it comes to coloring my art ( and would spend hours looks for good color combinations ) because I don't know a lot about painting, but thank you for this tutorial! You're awesome

One question: What paint program do you use?
I use Sai and it's not the best for manually mixing paints.

I generally use Photoshop because I prefer it. I must confess I have no idea how to use Sai >_< It's SUPER easy to mix colors in PS.

I'd definitely want to put more colours into the mix, but the idea you gave about mixing another color to harmonise the 3, I think that's brilliant!

This is seriously THE BEST colour advice i've ever read!!! I am soooo bad at colour theory and choosing colours and stuff that actually work together, its just insane. But thank you SO SO much for sharing this!! I now cant wait to colour my next drawing

This tutorial.... has helped me with color SO MUCH! The first part when you added orange to all 3 colors a light bulb turned on in my head that ive been trying to get to go on with TONS of other tutorials! Thank you sooooo much!

Glad that helped! Add warm colors to your base colors (like yellow) for scenes in sunlight and cool colors for night scenes. Makes choosing colors so much easier!
