Description
A tutorial on how to make a unified color palette, aka how to make colors look good next to each other. Not a lot of people understand how color works, and while this isn't the end-all be-all, it certainly helps when you're stuck. Thanks for looking!

Great ideas, and wonderfully explained!
I love how clear and minimalistically delsigned this tutorial is. So many tutorials use fancy (unreadable) fonts, with many different sizes and not much negative space. This is refreshing. (I think my only crit is I would make the dark grey background/text and the white background a bit less contrasty, bringing a bit closer in value just to be easier to look at. Maybe that's just me though.)
I'll definitely look to this for my future tutorials as an example of how to be minimalist but still with lots of information and a semi-casual tone. I also like your style of writing -- no emoticons and proper punctuation (both = professional), yet friendly and simple.
And of course the idea of unified palette are very interesting and new to me. It's a similar idea to limited colour gamut (which James Gurney explains well in his book Color and Light, and probably somewhere online too).

Again, thank you for the feedback! I agree with you about the contrast, I addressed that when I made my Light & Color Tutorial by lowering the contrast (because I noticed it was annoying). I'm really glad you find it easy to read, that's exactly what I was going for.

This is amazing. I always have trouble with colors, & with this tutorial, maybe I can improve upon that flaw when designing new characters & places.
One question: can you please make a more extensive tutorial on how to choose these colors in PhotoShop? I work mostly in digital media, so while I understand how to mix paint, I'm having trouble visualizing how to do it with the Swatches in PS & such.

I can try! I'm kinda busy right now, but I'll think about how to make a more detailed tut for the future! I hope this one helps you a little.
