Personality:
Fascinator became a very cold person, emotionally distant towards people and keeping to himself. He has major trust issues towards people, even to his own loved ones due to his trauma. Also due to his first relationship ending, he became very wary towards the one thing he prized, romance. Despite still easily falling for people, his rose-colored dream of hopeless romance was shattered and now he can no longer believe that he’ll ever find love nor does he want to. He no longer wants to be vulnerable to people, unable to trust people with his fragile heart. Due to his intense misery and pain, he started to become numb to his own feelings and often tries to keep his emotions clear from his decisions. Due to this, he’s often pitiless and merciless, becoming apathetic towards almost everyone. He does have a soft spot for his family and his close friends, but business before that. Fascinator’s outbursts and emotionally charged behavior seemed to be the only relic of his original personality and he’s trying to eradicate that as well. He tries to keep calm and quiet, trying to act as some sort of a professional, but his own mind often betrays him. His falters and his nervous ticks always getting the best of him.
Truly, he’s an aloof man with indifference being his song to sing. He couldn’t really care less if you were dying from a terminal illness or if you’re struggling to feed your 3 kids. He’s more concerned with making bank, greedily making money off of the many people he has murdered. He’ll watch your crops die and burn your barn. Fascinator became enamored with sadism, not caring who he inflicts pain on at all as long as he gets to do it. Exerting his frustrations and pain onto others gives him an addicting high and it’s one of the rare moments he’ll genuinely smile. He’s mostly projecting his emotional turmoil on his victims in order to deal with his overwhelming trauma. That and he does get genuine joy from it. But he hides his masochistic side that occurred because of the guilt he suffered from his actions, so he doesn’t express this outside at all.
Although he’s still the same person, loving his family unconditionally and forgiving them for anything, excluding a few. He’s still very childish, getting overly excited on kiddish things, invested in trivial matters, and easily gullible. Fascinator is a bit of a bad liar when it comes to his emotions towards people, he can make a great alibi but it’s obvious when he’s mad at you. He’s been more restrictive with his drinking and gambling, trying to avoid these vices for the sake of that his mother doesn’t want him to go overboard on these things, especially gambling.
Bio:
Long story short, Fascinator Dephucker’s life started out very much grim. Being a complete accident and even unwanted, his mother was a party girl who wasn’t ready to become a mother. Her 5 main lovers were all demons who weren’t ready to become fathers either, but she kept him due to the ethics she was raised with as a child. He was neglected and mostly unloved due to his parents’ immaturity and selfish mindset. Throughout his childhood, he had fathers and even his own mother walked out on his life repeatedly, he had never known a stable home. This developed a need for attention and a craving for affection as well as abandonment issues.
In his pre-teens, after another father walked out on him, a demon named Hatinator (one of the original demon lovers of his mother) promised to bring a purpose into his life. He wasn’t lying but his plans weren’t exactly what a father should have for his son. Also if you were curious, yes Hatinator was the one who named Fascinator in the first place and screwed him for the rest of his life. But the choice of name and the sudden taking of responsibility for his possible blood-related son wasn’t out of the kindness of his heart. Fascinator was to be a new vessel for Hatinator’s vanity, a doll to possess. Hatinator’s beauty was mangled and destroyed before this, his face scarred and stitched together from an attempted murder from war and because of this, Hatinator wanted a younger and unblemished body. And what’s better than your own possible flesh and blood? He never saw Fascinator as an equal, as a growing child that relied on him as a father nor did he respect or love his human mother, instead of using her to get closer to Fascinator. He would emotionally manipulated her into staying in the crumbling marriage and due to this, she grew distant to her own son whom he kept rather close. Hatinator’s goal was to break Fascinator’s mind into mush, a doll unable to fight back from getting his body possessed in case that Hatinator’s soul wasn’t strong enough to fully possess him.
For 3 years, Fascinator’s desire for affection as well as fear of abandonment was used against him, turning him into clay for Hatinator to mold into whatever he wanted. He felt intense pressure to become perfection incarnate or else he would lose his home, safety, and family. So when a dorky classmate was hit by a car and the council of prom was rumored to give the kid the crown of prom king out of pity, his world started to crumble around him. Whatever Fascinator did, he couldn’t change this fate and he couldn’t see life beyond prom because when Fascinator would graduate high school, that’s when Hatinator would possess him. Failure guaranteed, Hatinator was displeased and decided to possess Fascinator now instead. Unhinging Fascinator to the point of insanity by using a spirit game without any failsaves to save him, and in the dead of the night, at the peak of his craziness, Hatinator implanted his soul in Fascinator. But the ritual was botched as well as the transfer process, so Hatinator was too weak to control Fascinator fully.
Fascinator, in his desperation and irrational mind, killed the 4 students responsible for organizing prom and his crush that rejected him during the event. Panic ensues, and as a last-ditch effort to regain control, Hatinator lead Fascinator to the roof and fall to the pavement to kill him. But by a miracle, he survived with brain damage and amnesia. Fascinator became a blank canvas, unable to remember much of his childhood, he was given a new chance of happiness. His mother was destroyed seeing her son in the hospital and swore to be there as a mother for him that day forward and as well as the man whom he took his last name of, Livery Collar (another demon lover of his mother) finally took responsibility of becoming a father to him as well as providing a stable home for him as well as his mother, the woman he still loved. From that day, Fascinator was raised with love and with a happy home, he couldn’t contain the joy and his smile never seemed to end. Moving to Daten to avoid the crowds of accusers, Fascinator pursued a new found love for music but that didn’t mean everything was truly over. Hatinator was still inside of Fascinator and was still trying to continue his original plan to possess him. Hearing voices in his head, he relayed this to psychiatrist casually who prescribed him a cocktail of medication.
Hatinator then became dormant inside of Fasciantor’s body, unable to summon the strength to even speak but was also content in Fascinator’s budding career as an idol. The fame, the money, the attention was enough to satisfy him by living through Fascinator. The new idol picked up fame quickly and soon dropped out of college and gave up the goal to take over his mother’s funeral home for a life to make music for his fans. Focused on his job, he did everything to both maintain and improve his music’s quality. Years passed quickly, and at 28 he was alone. Unfulfilled and wanting a family of his own, he agreed to take custody of Knit Mittens from his aunt. Moving from his lonely life to a happy home with a group of friends and loved ones always by his side, he could always smile. That was until he turned 30, getting fired from his agency.
Left jobless and without any actual qualifications for any other kind of work, he went into a spiral downwards. He quit his medication cold turkey to save for the long term of unemployment in order to provide for Knittens and his pets. The intense pressure and the misery he was experiencing woke up the spirit inside of him for the last decade, and Hatinator could easily take advantage of his vulnerability. Speaking to Fascinator, he slowly drove him into a state of hopeless existence as well as a wild goose chase for the memories he forgot. Hatinator easily used his desperation to make sense of his life into redoing the original spirit ritual, still botched into giving Hatinator more strength over Fascinator. Despite Hatinator not being entirely sure of what he’s doing, he was able to fully possess Fascinator for short bursts, who would wake up in random locations without any knowledge of where he was, days later. Beginning to isolate himself out of fear of hurting others, he started to plunge into madness and self-hatred, fully remembering what he has done.
In his deteriorating mental state and loneliness, he began to trust Hatinator because he simply had no one else. Using his emotions against him, Hatinator then began to implant thoughts of paranoia, casting doubt on his loved ones. Fascinator started to shut people out but did manage to get an office job to provide for Knittens. But a need for escape only grew as Hatinator gained more influence over Fascinator’s subconscious and his dreams, torturing him day and night. Hatinator has also begun to shame and ridicule him for his confusion on gender as well as his thoughts of being a woman, shaming him and cussing him to suppress and deny who he is. Fascinator started to drink heavily to numb the pain and distract from his destroyed life. He spent much of the budget on alcohol out of his own selfish needs and his inability to face his problems, as well as starting to gamble to gain some sort of feeling over his life. Hatinator’s mistakes in possession soon caught up with him as the two’s personalities, psyches, and sense of self merged, unable to tell if the two of them were two separate people. Fascinator began to feel the inhuman nature of the demon in his body, and the thought of inflicting pain on others was planted in the back of his mind. This only worsened his dependency on drinking and gambling and soon he started getting into debt with all the wrong people.
Too ashamed to tell anyone of his problems, he kept them inside to fester while getting into drunken scraps with loan sharks. Often waking up with a bloody nose, black eye, etc, he’d just hide them under makeup and go to work to continue his bad habits. He didn’t bother seeing his friends, talk to his parents, even bother with Knittens half the time; it hurt too much to see them. It hurt to see them and know what he was doing in his life and as worse as Hatinator got, he was accustomed to him and took a weird comfort in knowing that he at least knew what Hatinator was, unlike life. Hatinator was losing control, fast; Fascinator’s self-destruction oddly seemed to save him from possession, due to his fear and anxiety being too strong for Hatinator to control. Death wasn’t even option for Hatinator anymore, unable to think of himself as an individual without Fascinator.
Eventually, all the debt and bar fights caught up with Fascinator, and he was chloroformed and kidnapped and as a polite summed up of the situation, life threatened. Needing to survive, Fascinator killed his captors with shaking hands and with the scent of blood causing him to gag, he walked home to drink away the memories. He never spoke of this to anyone, he couldn’t bring himself to do it and started to become apathetic to life as more people were sent after him. He managed to stand his own ground, and prevent death.
That was until Knittens was kidnapped instead, and leaving his house after alerting the authorities, he wasn’t coming home without Knittens. He didn’t sleep, he eats measly portions of food as he kept looking for his cousin. Eventually, the captors called for a ransom and meeting at the agreed time and place alone, Fascinator tackled one of them and ripped off their ear with his bare teeth before the other could shoot him. He quickly disarmed the horrified accomplice, and at gunpoint, forced them to drive him to where they were keeping Knittens. Fascinator was beyond thinking of his moral as he tracked his prey down one by one, separating the pack. He used anything he could to survive, punching kicking, stabbing, shooting, beating with rocks and pipes, ripping off chunks of flesh, etc. Having bullet wounds in several places in his body, he managed to struggle enough to find Knittens, tied and gagged, freed him. Luckily he wasn’t fatally wounded as he woke up in the hospital and was arrested promptly, but managed to pay bail with all of the money he had.
Finally accepting help from his loved ones financially, he got Knittens a psychiatrist and a therapist while also giving custody of Knittens to his older sister Halter Top, who moved to Daten for her own reasons. He sought help for himself for at least gambling and drinking, only drinking in very tiny amounts now. But his view of people was destroyed, unable to see people the same anymore. Only very few loved ones he still thought of or acted the same too, and even then his relationships begun to strain because he doesn’t want to hurt them either. Gaining just a small notoriety from the people previously wanting to kill him, he was offered a job.
At first, it was just to kill and dispose of anyone they brought to him and Fascinator could barely do it. But it started to become natural, and he even started to enjoy it, becoming more creative with his kills as well as being efficient at cleaning the mess up afterward. He used it to inflict his emotional turmoil on others, not caring if they’re unrelated at all nor if they were innocent. The feeling of control over other people’s lives and power was addicting and he embraced his sadism fully. The pay was good enough for him to quit his office job and still provide easily.
Finally shaking free from Hatinator, the demon was enraged. Wanting to hurt Fascinator, who was rebelling his control, he wanted to hurt him in the most painful way possible, by torturing someone close to him. And thus, possessed Knittens instead. Finally being alone in his life, that drove him even more crazy. The silence and his own thoughts were agonizing and the cravings for human flesh set in. He didn’t want to turn into a cannibal but the appetite for human flesh was overwhelming. Soon, he noticed that Knittens wasn’t acting himself and similar to how he was early in his possession and quickly told Halter Top, who didn’t believe him. Desperate for a solution, he told the situation to Knitten’s friend, Rainboots, who was a Fibre and she performed an exorcism on him, seemingly solving the problem.
Currently, despite being free from his father, Fascinator has changed radically from his previous personality. Sadistic and just a little cannibalistic, he’s bloodthirsty and power hungry. He’s planning on an abandoned plan of Hatinator, to get pure threads in order to become immortal in his madness. He moved to a smaller house on the outskirts of the city with a large backyard for his pets. Being alone, he often struggles to stay in reality or even realize that he’s safe, or that he could be happy. Fascinator still plays music and composes songs on his piano as a pastime when he isn’t working. He made a contract with Hairpin through Swing Coat for pure threads and is currently recovering from the procedure, very physically weak and ill. Fascinator often has to stay home in bed due to his condition.

Besides singing, Fascinator enjoys cooking. His favorite foods are savory. He's been avoiding red meat lately.

He actually wears colored contacts, his real eyes being a shade of purple. This is because Hatinator has the same eyes and use to claim that Fascinator's purple eyes were actually proof of his ownership. It's sufficient to say why Fasci wear colored contacts. Without said contacts, he'll need his yellow glasses
While he is bigender and lately has been feeling more of a female or both female and male, he both denies and rejects this side of him due to fear and shame. His family and his friends don’t know except Headphones.
