Knitten's rpg concept is based on the otome game, Dot Kareshi 2 (Beast master character). Literally, they're wearing the same outfit. But I really liked the game even though beast master wasn't my favorite route, he looked so much like Knittens that I couldn't resist but to make a parody.
And yes, his 'beasts' are zipper pets.
