Description Alexia Aldrin is my Fallout 3 character.

While in game she's actually very close to having maximum scores across the board, (thanks mainly to the presence of bobble heads, skill books, the Almost Perfect perk, and a fair amount of planing) here I display her in line with my play style with a focus on mobility and small arms.

The outfit she wears here is of my own creation and what I'd have her wear if I had much freer reign over what I could equip in game. As such the vast majority of the outfit is composed of parts from in game assets. I'll even go down the list of where articles came from for those who played the actual game.

Her coat is at it's heart the Regulator Duster, on the back of the mantel I have the '101' from a vault suit stitched on like a patch for a general identifier (after all how the hell could Three Dog's sources reliably track her activities?), similarly the coat itself is lengthened with a set of patched on pieces of leather.
The back pack is based on the M1936 Musette bag of WW2. The bag is attached to the coat by way of a leather harness which also sports the shoulder holsters for a pair of 10mm pistols.
The armoring on the left arm is based almost exclusively on parts from the male leather armor. The associated shoulder piece is actually connected to a part on her top

the outfit under the coat is rather simple with the pants directly taken from the female leather armor. The pair of crisscrossing belts are originally from the male version of the Merc Adventurer Outfit and the Armored Vaultsuit where they cross the torso. the pouches on the thighs are not present in the actual game and are simply pouches for 10mm pistol clips and a pack of bobby pins (the innermost on the left thigh).
her boots are based off of those from the T-51b and the arm guard of the male leather armor. though not visible there's suppose to be a knife and a screw driver sheathed on the sides of the boot. the screw driver was to be on the left boot but I omitted it to prevent problems with the drawing of the Chinese Assault Rifle.

The top was originally based on the female Raider Paingiver armor's own with a belt from the Raider Iconoclast armor across the bottom of it and a heavy leather piece attached to the top of it to which the Pauldron's strap attaches to anchor it to her body.

finally the face mask / scarf thing is from the Merc Veteran Outfit and a pair of biker goggle adorn her fore head. those two bits are intend as a solution for dust storms that blows through while out in the wastes from time to time.

Her armaments are a pair of standard 10mm pistols which she'd dual weld (if the game included a system for it XD) a Chinese Assault Rifle with a shoulder pad duck-taped down into an ambidextrous cheek guard and a scoped hunting rifle that feature a hand full of rounds secured to the stock. the Hunting Rifle's scope is based of a soviet WW2 era piece.

Extensive aren't I?

Yeah, given that not only do I play her as good but there's just an insanely high number of humanoids that are considered evil It's sort of a no brainier.

Yeah, plenty in the Capital Wasteland. Which is why I'm sort of paranoid early in the game.

omg thats kick ass ^_^ I love seeing people draw there charictors. and that custom armor system would have been kick ass. my charictors a sammri sword/knife loving charictor and it would have been asome to make armor to reflect this. intill then im just using re-con armor ^_^

I would hate to get on her bad side I might not live to see the aftermath.

Great character design wish we had more customization options in the real game.

what's bad is if you read some of the early information the devs put on the FO3 site it actually sounds like they had originally planed on using the odler morrowind armor system where the suit of armor was broken down into shoulders gauntlets, torsos and leggings. Had they used it the game probably would have been better off for it.

Never played Morrowind, but from what I've seen of Fall Our New Vagus they might be adding it, at least to the weapons that is. Maybe they'll do the same to the armor before it comes out, one can hope.

awesome sketch, it's good to see I'm not the only psycho with a penchant for extreme detail....

I'm particularly big about detailing equipment. in fact I believe a character's equipment says more about the character then any single expression ever could.

I wouldn't restrict myself to that belief too tightly... but yea, equipment is extremely important.

well, I guess I should be more specific, people are always going on about how important facial expressions and often in media you see provisions given to allowing a character's face to be seen when it should be ..like transparent visors of space suits. My belief is that the body is overall more important then the face in defining a character, how they animate during conversation, what they wear, how they walk. these things tell a lot about a character.

Jaw-dropping details!! The sniper rifle(?) needs a bit more work in my opinion

the sniper rifle isn't really much to look at in game to start with. [link] granted the drawing is probably a little on the short side but beyond better prorpotioning I think the only way I could have made it look any better is by adding wood grain detail. and lets be honest, that would just be over board.

Very, very well done!

I wish I could draw my own "Heavy Armoured Vault Suit" that I describe in my story...

the thing that urks me with fallout is that if you go to the site and read the journal entries from some what early in their dev cycle it seemed that originally they where going to go with an equipment system not too unlike what we had in Morrowind where shoulders, arm guards, pants and tops where all separate items. I think it would have been great had they done it since it would allow them to make wastelanders less uniform in attire.

Yeah, but they had to make room to cram in more greatness. It's one minor foible against an otherwise great game.

I love the detail!

thanks. this piece is actually two or three inches smaller then the full body mecha drawing around here so I was pretty limited in how much detail I could cram into her. even with my mecha work I sometimes run into the problem of the art being too small for me to detail it up as I want.
