Pokemon of the Month submission for . Eevee was this month's Pokemon, and I'm not in the mood to pull a wall of text outta my ass, but I did wanna submit something...and I remembered how they said, 'We'd really like to see a realistic Eevee!', so there. A realistic Eevee....I'm WAY rusty on my realism, holy crap. This looks awful, but that probably has something to do with the fact that 1) I really could only reference so much from my cat's faces, and 2) it's a ficticious creature? And an ANIMAL? I'm really BAD with animals, if you didn't notice...
All the same, I gave it a shot. I may finish it, or I may just keep it as is. I hope this is good enough for people to realize 'Oh, that's an Eevee'. I hope the ears give it away. It looks like some weird kitten-squirrel-fox mix to me on paper. ASDF. ;;
I really ought to get back into realism, as apathetic as I am about it. I don't think I can get better, at this point, unless I go back to the basics of '80% looking, 20% drawing' rather than going on things I know, which I've been doing for a while and that's a very bad thing for me to do as an artist. So. Yeah. You may see moar realism soon.
I know it looks like crap. You don't need to comment on how much it looks so. ._.'
Eevee belongs to Nintendo, Game Freak, etc.

This is the best rendition of Eevee I've ever seen. I definitely love you gave it the cat face. Eevee has a small round face in the anime so it fits that you gave it the kittenish look (plus so many of its evos are actually felinebased). Too many people assume just because of the ears and tail all of them are foxes and give them WHOA METER LONG MUZZLES AND SHIT.

Personally, I think Eevee looks more like a dog, but it doesn't matter. For your point of view this looks awesome.

Wow, it looks very realistic!! However, it looks like a "photoshopped" image of a cat, some ears and fur.
But still, for being a handrawing, it's great!!
I've always imagined Eevee as a Pomeranian dog, only with less fur and a long tail

Well, Eevees are, in my opinion, both fox-like and cat-like. The fox takes form in the body and tail whereas the head is definitely more cat-like, esp. with the mane. When was the last time you saw a fox with a mane?
In all seriousness, I think the Eevee family has some cat in it. Look at Espeon- it's design highly looks like a bake-neko, or a monster like cat said to be imbued with supernatural powers. The forked tail and body structure are a dead giveaway.

First of all, you did an absolutely fantastic job, even if you think it is crap, I mean I haven't seen your other works so I can't tell if it is crap for you or not, but compared to a whole lot of realism attempts you are pretty high up on the "this is absolutely amazing" scale, really no lie. be proud of your skills they are astounding.
Second of all eevee is classified as a fox pokemon, though I can understand the whole cat thind what with the it can evolve into a bakeneko, it just jumped species, made no sense t me ever.

She's done some Pogeymanz before. (I think they're in her scraps now.) That, my friend, is the definition of good on the realistic scale. This is nothing (AND MY FAIL SCANNER DOESN'T HELP GAH) in comparison to hers. Not to mention it was really half-assed so it's gotta be crap if I wasn't even trying. X3
...who's to say it can't be both? |3 I was planning on it having a fox body, but I never got that far lol. It's just with like...the legendary 'beasts' from Johto. Dogs? Cats? Or guinea pigs? It's all based on opinion, and I see Eevee/lutions as part cat, part fox. *shrug*
