It certainly is a different approach as mentioned and is one heck of a good shot.
My only suggestion would be to try and acheive a great deal more sharpness
accross the entre frame on this one. Unlike some of your other recent shots, this
one does not give a feeling of sharpness across the entire frame.

Thanks my friend!
I think it came out a bit blurry because the tripod was in the rushing water which vibrated the camera a tad

Oh I see!
I would have probably been shaking so much
from worry about losing the camera or me that
mine would have been blurry as well!

The long exposure gives a real feeling of speed and power in the water. As I keep telling you... I love your long exposure work. We just don't have any running water here in Memphis... Maybe I need to go shoot fountains...

Thing is, we don't have any "nice" ones here in Memphis. I've been here 8 almost 9 years, and I can't think of one worth doing long exposure...

Damn, that sucks!
Do you have any natural springs in the area?

Memphis it the "Bulff City"... All we have it the Mississippi... Shooting in at 1/125 or 30 sec makes little difference with a river that big. I know of one good spot IN the zoo... and 2 "good" fountains Downtown... As time permits...

I know, we have the missouri and mississippi rivers here, and I have taken photos of both, but they always turn out too boring of a shot

Yep... that's why you only see a few river shots in my portfolio.

If its a small river or a small stream, then I love to take shots, it seems the smaller ones have more character, but I would like to shoot a slow shutter of the mississippi at night with tow boat passing by

You could do that... but all you get was a line... the MS has just no Charactor for photgraphy like that...

I'm sure it's not everywhere... Just where I have the place to shoot it... I'll find a good one some time I'm sure.

Wonderful image, it puts a spin on the long exposure waterfall shots - haven't seen one from this angle. What I like about these photographs is that the water doesn't seem like water anymore, rather a living life-form flowing inbetween the rocks and crashing into the pool below~

when i first saw the thumbnail, i thought it was a drawing. then realized, you dont draw, you take amazing photos
and then it sunk in, holy freakin crap the water looks amazing. great angle too

Yeah from the thumbnail it looks different, it really came out abstract for a waterfall shot

The colours and contrast are beutiful. Also, the contrast between the stillness of the rocks and the rushing of the water is excellent. It does look like photo modification, but the fact that it is not makes it that much better. The brilliance of the colours and the interesting terrain make this a really good shot.

The long exposure really helped convey the image that this was a painting and not a photograph. It's still hard, after reading the description and knowing it's a photograph, to believe that this is a real shot. Great job again.

It almost looks better because it looks fake. It's unlike other extended water shots because it looks so unrealistic.
Good job.
That mill really is a great photo-op.

Damn cool. A twist on the classic long exposure waterfall shot in that this is taken from the top. Saying that this has a feeling of movement is an understatement. As you said, very interesting color on the rocks. Great job C4D.

wooow, that's kind of pshycadelic. The whole images makes me think I'm looking at this area through the eyes of someone with dimensia or something. Very cool, I like how simple it is, the colors are nice and vibrant, while the lesser tones are dulled out. suuweet
