Great shot... a indeed... one thing that confuses me is that you say that it was an 8 second exposure, and the clouds look like they could be 8 seconds worth of blur... but the water... that's sub-second lack of movement in the water... it's really crisp... how did you do that???

those clouds must have been moving fast because they look like they have much more movement than the water.

the sky reflects the feeling of the sweeping of the landscape perfectly, actually, it has even a greater sweeping feeling

I like the fact that you weren't tempted to orange this one up. I like the blue in the sky and the sublety of hte orange in the water and banks.

Photo was taken at sunset which is about 5:00pm here
I used a combo of 3 filters here, a polorizer, a 4X ND filter, and a 3X ND grad filter which really slowed the exposure down to about 8 seconds
