The plant on a Marverran Ivysaur's back is aggressive towards bug that draw near it. It has a mind of its own and will chomp down on enemies. Ivysaur will use the vines that come out of its back to draw food to itself, to grab things or to attack. Ivysaur's skin has purple splotches all over itself to warn others to not touch it. The toxins on its skin causes severe irritation to those that touch it. It is known to have the same effect as poison ivy.
Evolves from Bulbasaur at level 16 and evolves into Venusaur at level 36.
