In the Marverra region, it is unknown how Mew came to be a ghost. People believe that its Kantonian counterpart must ventured out into Marverra and perished there, or Mew adapted to the Marverra region and underwent a transformation. Marverran Mew is said to have the souls of all fallen Pokemon in it. It is able to see every detail, aspect, thought and emotion of every fallen Pokemon in it. As a result, it is said that Marverran Mew is the epitome of empathy, understanding and transcendence, and it can transform into an exact replica of the fallen Pokemon. It spends a lot of its time hiding in the shadows observing other Pokemon. It is capable of making its tail separate into many different bone pieces to attack or defend. Marverran Mew can enter the body of a Pokemon to take control having its soul take over the soul of its victim. Mew's soul absorbs the victim's soul and their soul becomes trapped in a prison. When it leaves its host, the host falls ill due to their soul being tainted by Mew. It is the only Pokemon capable of learning Soul Corruption and Soul Rebirth.
