Hey, it’d be a crime to not let my crazy dirt lady meet the plant man. My problem is that I have several scenarios for their first meeting in mind, but I don’t know which one to make “official”. So, I drew all of them.

1) Okay, so it’s more than likely that Spike watches the greenhouse while Bushroot’s away, but if he’s in jail he’d probably worry about it and want to know if it’s alright (is everyone all right? Did Spike do his chores? Did vandals come to wreck things again?). So, it’s his request for the “Kindness for Criminals” thing, and lucky for him, there’s a perky earth witch in town who’s an avid gardener and scary force of nature, and we have Binkie Muddlefoot to thank for putting the signup sheet in her sights (okay, so Rosie and Morg happened to be visiting the Mallards when Binkie came by).

2) He had a dog, she had a cat, can I make it any more obvious?

They just bumped into each other while taking their respective pets for an evening walk in the park, and well…

3) It’s the last bag of fertilizer, and they’re gonna fight over it. It doesn’t get to “vs. QJ at the craft store” levels, because it rips in half, Bushroot gets exposed, and then flees, leaving a confused Rosie behind to find out about the “you break it, you buy it” thing.

4) Rosie! You don’t just assume a plant-duck is an expert on all plants! …okay, he is an expert, but still!

Though, Rosie’s mostly self-taught in normal plant care, I don’t blame her for doubting herself and wanting second opinions from someone more knowledgeable. But talk about awkward timing, Rosie!

5) I was actually thinking of Tangled when I drew that one: Criminal escapes from authorities by hiding on someone else’s property. Said someone else strikes him from behind with her weapon of choice.

If you’re wondering if Morgana would even allow Rosella’s colorful style of gardening in her yard, no worries, she managed to secure a lot where Rosie can go nuts.

6) We have Reggie breaking into Rosie’s garden, now let’s have the inverse of Rosie breaking into Reggie’s greenhouse! Simply because she hates rain, she wandered a little too far from home, and the greenhouse was the closest shelter.

7) An idea where a reformed Bushroot is going through SHUSH’s Villain Reformation Program, while struggling between being unsure of what to do with his life and dealing with everyone being distrustful of him. Rosie, training to be a hero in this scenario, notices him alone, and knowing what that’s like, decides, “Hey, he needs a friend!”

8) Based on one of my random story ideas , Darkwing has teamed up with the other Fearsomes (except Negaduck, who got swallowed earlier) to stop “Beastroot” (coined by another Tumblr user) from destroying the city. He’s got a cure at this point, now he just needs Bushroot to hold still and open his mouth to receive it–easier said than done. It’s not like they can make him sink into the ground… but Darkwing knows someone who can!

Alternatively, they’re all official events, we just need to figure out which event goes where in the timeline. XD
