And here's King Randor and Queen Marlena, rulers of Eternia and parents of Adam and Adora.

For backstories...

~ I like the drama between Randor and his half-brother Keldor (aka Skeletor; much of the story is on his picture). They were close in youth and even fought in the Great Unrest together, but political nonsense drove a serious wedge between them. Randor often wonders if he had acted rashly out of grief when his mother was murdered and everyone pointed fingers at Keldor, leading to his banishment. On the other hand, Keldor did sacrifice Randor's daughter (and almost his son) to some bat spirit (in Randor's POV; we know what actually happened), so maybe that acid bath was deserved. In any case, Randor wishes things didn't turn so sour.

~ And I like Marlena being the astronaut from Earth that crash lands on Eternia and ends up settling there, marrying Randor and becoming Queen. Her crash landing happened during the Great Unrest, which caught the attention of Randor, Keldor, and others, who would rescue and rehabilitate her. She wasn't able to sate her curiosity about this new planet until things quieted down, though it did give her time to work through the grief of being stranded. Randor helped her through it, and showed her around when things were settled. While she loves her family and new home, she does get homesick and quite often talks about Earth.

They might have been a bit overprotective of Adam when he was young, and by the time they relaxed on it, Adam, despite being a sweet boy, already was in the habit of avoiding responsibility, much to Randor's chagrin. At some point, Marlena does catch on to the He-Man thing (I have an idea for a story where she figures it out, but it needs some ironing out).
