Description Centaur Mix II:

Daz 3d Studio & GIMP 2.8.1: Faery forest set, Mil horse (x2), Elf Ears inj, V3 (x2)

* * *

The forest fairy ensnares another victim in her fairy ring. The transformation magic requires considerable power, which drains the surrounding forest of it typical energetic colors and hues and is then concentrated into the enchanted shape-shifting orb.

* * *

Tracy the Fairy Hunter was hired by the village to eliminate the fae threat. The village of Narath was located in idyllic location between an ancient forest and small lake feed by several waterfalls from the nearby mountains. For many years the villagers lived in peace and harmony with their neighbors and the inhabitants of the forest. Several years ago, that began to change for the worse.

* * *

Farms at the edge of Narath began to experience strange occurrences. Farm animals, like pigs showing up overnight with two heads or cows with six legs. Each time a small ring of grass and mushrooms sprang up and encircled the deformed animals while they slept. Since this only occurred infrequently, it was mainly just a topic of conversation at the Dancing Pony Pub.

There was a turn for the worse when some of the village children began to develop strange looking deformities. Things like hands turning into split hooves, ears elongating and looking equine or bovine or one or two kids sprouting long bushy tails.

The village council of Narath meet in an emergency session at the Dancing Pony Pub to discuss solutions to the crisis. One of the village Elders had remembered a drifter named Tracy passed through the village a few moons ago. She claimed to hunt down and rid towns of fairy plagues. She was almost laughed out of town, as no one in living memory had seen or even heard of such things before.

A hasty vote was cast and the town folk agreed locate and to provide this drifter Tracy with a horse and a small reward of gold and silver coins, collected from most of the folk of Narath. Provided that she could rid the town of the cursed peril, however. And that depended upon if they could actually find her...

A dappled gray mare named Swifty was provided to the town's mail route rider and he set out to locate Tracy on horse back. The mail carrier checked a few nearby towns and villages and quickly located her, she was staying at an inn under another name. The rider conversed quickly with Tracy about the villagers' proposal. Tracy was almost shocked at her change in fortune. She quickly agreed to the deal of the horse and bag of treasure. Tracy took the reins of Switfy and the bag of coins and sped off into the dark forest, following a winding game trail. The mail carrier task now completed, he turned around and started the long walk back to village of Narath.

* * *

Tracy had no intention of sticking around and waiting for the wrath of the villagers and dealing with the mythical fairies. Tracy whipped the rear of Swifty without mercy to increase her gait to put as much distance between her and that wretched village. In the increasing gloom, Tracy managed to lose sight of the game trail winding through the dark forest.

In her haste, Tracy had missed watching for fairy circles on the trail ahead. Too late! A fairy circle was dead ahead a few yards away. Tracy desperately tried to get Swifty to halt. A sudden flash of strangely colored light engulfed Tracy. Tracy felt very odd in that very moment. Tracy's hind end felt very sore now, even though she had not been riding Swifty for very long. Tracy had a sense that she was being watched by something and turned her body around to get a better look. Things didn't seem to move quite right. Tracy was alarmed that she couldn't see her horse, either.

Tracy though to herself 'What ever happened to my stupid horse'. An odd voice in her head thought 'I'm right here, you cruel filly'. Tracy didn't pay much attention to the other voice, as she was still in a state of shock. Tracy though to herself 'Where did that strange light come from?' A voice answered back 'From behind us'. The odd voice continued 'I noticed a wood fairy in a tree hallow behind...' Tracy thought back 'I saw nothing at all...' The voice countered 'You reckless, unobservant filly...'  Tracy's mind reeled as she looked down and didn't recognize what appeared to be her legs, now dappled gray and covered with a coarse, short fur. The voice responded back 'my legs could stand a bit of brushing, and my hooves a bit of cleaning I'd admit...And I'm not YOUR horse, little filly...'
