This tutorial is very helpful, and simple for those of us who don't like to read walls of text before we learn something.

You're very welcome. Looking back at this, I'm sorry its so old and dated. I'd recommend having a broader browse of DA and the net, there are a lot of better resources out there.

might need to use this for my hairy character in my next flash, that is if i ever get around to making him lol. nice tutorial i was never sure how the wind actually affected hair so this was very helpful.

You can do animations in Photoshop too. Some of my newest deviations are animated and they were all done in Photoshop. I didn't even need flash.
