So after going through several youtube tutorial videos and several sites giving out tutorials on gradient [My bookmark is full of these useless ones.....no kidding] for the past THREE years I finally got what I was looking for in "Step 14" of this tutorial....../facepalm.......if only I had searhed for it here beforehand [Now I can die peacefully......joking 
You sir just made my life a bit easy.......[atleast the part where I deal with Flash] Thanks a ton for bestowing us with this beautiful yet funny tutorial seven years back, no wonder it still manages to help out people like me.

I don't know if you're still looking for help in finding that "color" window, but use ALT + SHIFT + F9 and it will happen. (Or go Window -> Color at the top)

Sorry hun, if you see how many years old this is, I haven't used the software in about that many years. You might want to try a current flash-user for help, or google the shortcut key for your version of the software.

Since these have been up for ages but the date isn't obvious I get this a lot. But since people still read the tutorial I'd rather not take it down in case it proves useful for someone.

God, you are a beautiful, beautiful person. Do you know that? I've been trying to figure out gradients for hours now, and unfortunately my teacher has been very little help.
You've explained it in about five to ten minutes plus or minus fiddling to try and get what I want to actually do the gradient.
Even if it ends up blowing up in my face (again), thank you so much for the tutorial. Thank you.
