Okay, I'm completely sold on the idea of Skater/Surfer Lagoona. This look! This personality! The fact that she'd fit right into one of the classic Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games! XD I love her. Once again, another home run. I certainly wouldn't mind chilling out with her, that's for sure.
Now I picture a remake of your "Lagoona goes into psychotic heat, chases Ben around to mate with him" story where the bit starts out like the original, but this Lagoona has an advantage... Her skateboard! For purely Looney Tunes comedy reasons, even when Ben turns to beings like XLR8, Lagoona can somehow match his top speed on her skateboard, mostly due to her insane lust driving her ever onward. XD And of course, the potential for such innuendo-filled lines like "Dude! Let me grind on your rail! I swear, you'll appreciate my sick tricks, dude!". Or, since this Lagoona likes weed, "C'moooon, dude! Let me get at least one puff off of your all-natural joint! Being near you gives me a contact high, dude!".

Well, some people don't like drastic change... Prime example being how some people are just pathetically whining their asses off about some of the new stuff in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, but that's a different story. (Ugh... People these days...) Anyways, yeah, I see nothing wrong with a version of Lagoona that's laid-back (but responsible), 4/20 friendly, and a skater/surfer ghoul. She seems very fun.
LOL! I'm glad ya liked the innuendos! Now I'm wishing for a "Skater Lagoona" remake of that Ben/Lagoona story, but that's probably waaaaay too much to ask, especially since ya already did that bit twice, technically speaking. Still, I can imagine a couple of amusing things that could happen in such a remake. First, whenever Ben decides to try and cautiously defend himself, Lagoona uses her skateboard to not only maneuver around... but somehow can also manage to use it expertly as a shield (Ben throws a punch, Lagoona quickly kicks up her board, grabs it, and has it intercept Ben's fist) and maybe while she's skating about, jump up and bounce off his head or something. XD Secondly, despite the 4th-wall-breaking nature of this one (Maybe Whisp is nearby? Lol.), perhaps after the chase finally ends, both of them somehow see that, like how the Tony Hawk games work, Lagoona somehow.... SOMEHOW managed to pull off the longest chain of skate tricks ever, racking up over a million points in one shot. Now THAT'S extreme skateboarding! And her poor skateboard definitely shows it... Wheels melting from going so fast, they got hot. The board worn and maybe cracked a little from blocking Ben's attacks.
*they're both sorely catching their breath from the chase by the time Lagoona catches Ben*
Lagoona: "Pant... pant... You owe me... a new.... skateboard, dude... Sex first, though... pant..."
Ben: "Pant... I told you... that the answer's.... no... This is your.... heat talking... and I refuse to--"
Lagoona: "Dude... If I ever... thought that you'd... take advantage of me.... or whatever.... then I wouldn't... be offerin' myself... Truth be told, I've been more... out of it when I'm REALLY high... I may be horny as hell now, but I know who... I want..."
Ben: "Wait... So this isn't...?"
Lagoona: "This heat just makes me way more aggressive... about mating... It doesn't completely take over, like it does for some of my kind... Perhaps a side-effect of my marijuana use keeping me so chill... Either way, it's an itch that needs scratchin', so I decided to go after you... Because you've always been so cool to me and I like that a lot, dude. I ain't having my first time be with some rando...."
Ben: "....Well, gotta say, this is the first time a girl went this far to thank me for being a friend." *awkwardly chuckles*
Lagoona: "Who said I wanted to be just friends with benefits, dude?" 
Ben: "Uh... You sure that's not the heat talking?"
Lagoona: "Eh. I figured you might be cool with us dating anyway, dude. We're single, you're ready to mingle, we hang out a lot, and we have fun together anyway."
Ben: "Okay, there's the normal Lagoona talking. Hehe..."
....Or something like that. I figure it might make for an amusing twist if Lagoona was driven by her heat, but instead of her instincts choosing Ben, she managed to be in enough control to go after her good friend/crush instead of some random dude she might regret afterward. Anyways, just thought I'd put that out there, see what ya think. Lol. I understand if there'll be no remake chapter, but no harm in chatting about the idea a little, see if it's likable or not.

..Ngl this version of Lagoona feels a bit.."Weird". Partially because its hard for my brain to imagine her talking like a laid back surfer dude with a Australian accent (but really she wouldnt really have one here and my brain is just a weird pile of meat in myΒ cranium so -w-).Β
Also the fact that she smokes weed which again is just me trying to really wrap my head around her. Other wise another good entry in your line up of Reboot!MH characters, im guessing she'd be a opposite to Gil XD. The thought of a high as fuck Lagoona is pretty funny though ill admit that XD. Also just outta curiosity what are those red stripes on her left shoulder?

On the subject of Villians (or at leas the "bad" MH characters)
How do you plan (or how would you do) Toralei,Amanita,Gorey,Lilith and Van,etc.
(Or really just Toralei and the Hellsings given that Amanita is pretty irrelevant in the franchise given how she only appears in like litteraly 2 webisodes and Gorey only having 2 minor movie roles).

Hmmm..If you ask me i think that the order you should go in is.
- The Main Cast (The Ghoul Sqaud and characters like Deuce,Clawd,Manny,Jackson & Holt, Or any others you would fit under that category)
- Secondary characters (well not that secondary) like Misstress Bloodgood,Lilith and Van,Toralei,Nefera,etc.
Really I dont think that alot of the characters outside of the main cast you should do. Maybe like some lil pencial sketches of what you have in mind because if just one of these takes about 3 hours alone that would just be alot of time down the drain that you could use to focus on the main cast/ more important characters. Again it's all up to you but this is just my suggestion on how to handle it.
I really like these reditions of the characters. Mainly with Toralei how she is just a straight up asshole. No sad reason or something bad that happened to her. She is just a mean kitty who is just bad. It doesnt hurt to make a antagonist relateable and sympathetic to open them up for a possible redemption arc but it also never hurts to make them just bad for no reason and just having them be delightfully evil.Β
Also I love Van in this. The history between monsters and humans here is possibley a violent one and Van seeing it for the betterment of humanity it something that is cool and would be very interesting to see be explored. Also the general thing about that side of the history between mosnters and humans. From what ive seen (or could remember) in most of the MH movies they say that normies are just violent,rude,etc espically in the ghouls rule species where its basically a straight up propaganda film. I twould be interesting to have some of the students realize

Which that fact that almost all the myths and legends pertaining to monsters here is true that would be putting it LIGHTLY. And that the hate mostly comes out a place of hysteria and fear from the humans that if history would repeat itself and that they would have to once again live under the fear of monsters and even for people who get turned into monsters. Wow would they be treated by sociatey? I mean...For humans that is a trick question although their could be exceptions. And how would they be treated my monster sociatey? ..Really that last one is also easy (assuming you'd have the monsters anonymous thing going on in here as well which would be a good idea).Β
Id say maybe have him have a inccident in his childhood to warrant his hate but i think that would be pushing it a bit. Again while having a villian with redeeming qualities is good it can get old and be over done. Maybe have him be something more along the lines of Grimmel which honestly is a good fir and character reference for him. A coniving,tactical,cunning,ruthless hunter who wants to free humanity from the fear of monsters. Im not saying have him be a one and one comparision (althou you are a much more capable writer then i am so you would most likely know this by now).
I also like the bit with Lilith althou i think she can do better then Hoodude but maybe have him help her see that monsters arent in fact bad but really relationship wise i think she can do better then Hoodude.
All and all it looks like a really good set up for something to come and i am fully on board with this!
