Royal Protectorate - Re-Design Reference Sheet

Background and Info:

Stays the same for the most part. Her family's bloodline magically imbued with powers blessed upon them by the goddess Britannia, Elizabeth Brown is a legacy heroine known as the Royal Protectorate, in the service of the Queen of England. The prior Royal Protectorate was her mother Mary Anne Brown, who fought heroically for the British during World War I. During the war, Mary Anne was drugged and seduced by a French intelligence agent who had been coerced by German forces to betray the Allies in exchange for them not killing his family. Once fully under his control, she was interrogated at length about her powers and abilities, and would later become pregnant due to the encounter, despite not remembering anything about the night other than joining a young and seductive Frenchman for a night of passion after a few drinks. Given that the source of her conception was unknown, Elizabeth's birth was treated as a very special occurrence and members of the Queen's Royal Guard considered her birth a divine act caused directly by Britannia herself. She enjoyed a fairly normal childhood with a military system, though she received training to prepare her to eventually take over her mother's role someday. Tragically, a few years before World War II would begin, her mother was ambushed and exposed to a magical toxic gas that German terrorists had been developing for years after analyzing the information on Mary Anne's powers. She bravely defeated the terrorists and saved hundreds of people that day, but fell to her injuries. Elizabeth was heart broken over the loss of her mother and became somewhat shy and reserved. When World War II begins, she is mostly used as a propaganda piece, but eventually she is deemed fit for combat and enters the fighting in mid-1943, mostly assisting the British RAF on their bombing and strike runs, while she also assists the army from time to time. Following her heroic exploits in the war, she loyally serves the Queen until the Cold War period begins, at which point she becomes disillusioned with the government and politics and strikes out on her own, going by just "Protectorate" as she no longer wants to be associated with the Royals. Eventually she gains dual citizenship with Britain and the United States, and serves as an ambassador until she is attacked by the same terrorist group responsible for her mother's death at a UN Summit. While exposed to the same magical chemical, she manages to survive and is nursed back to full health with the help of Tiffany/Crimson Dynamo. She becomes a full fledged super hero, fighting evil in both Paragon City and Steel City, and eventually settles down a bit with her on-again off-again flame from WWII, the former US soldier John Carter, also known as the war hero Spartan One. John and Elizabeth enjoyed several romantic encounters after his wife passed away, and given that they were both immortal, Elizabeth convinced John that it was time for them to embrace the inevitable and settle down together. They live in a spartan log cabin on a small piece of farmland on the outskirts of Steel City, and Elizabeth still occasionally dons her uniform to help the heroes of Steel City.

Costume Reference:

Normal Uniform - Elizabeth is considered an honorary member of all the British armed forces, though given that she spends most of her time at RAF support facilities and forward bases, she wears a typical women's uniform for the service, consisting of a uniform jacket and tie, skirt, stockings, and boots or heels.

Royal Protectorate/Protectorate Uniform:

Elizabeth's "heroine" uniform consists of a double breasted leather jacket with a high collar, which fastens with golden buttons.

Coat Style -

Colors - (Coat) Dark Blue, (Buttons) Gold

Keeping in some tradition with her normal uniform, beneath the jacket she wears a white uniform dress shirt with a dark blue silk necktie. Her shirt collar and tie are just visible between the high collar of her jacket. She also wears a short leather skirt which is the same color as her jacket.

Her legs are adorned with black tights that have the consistency of smooth leather and she wears white flared gloves and matching knee high boots. She also wears a wide white belt around her waist, the belt buckle being circular with the crest of her goddess emblazoned on the buckle.

Hair/Eyes/Mask - Elizabeth wears her lovely brown hair long and flowing in true "Bombshell" fashion, has soft brown eyes, and wears a black eye mask to give herself an air of mystery.

Uniform Color Notes: Given some choice over her uniform style, Elizabeth wanted something that would inspire and allow her to relate to her fellow military men and women, which is the main reason she chose a more military style super heroine uniform. The colors of the British flag were avoided, and she does not have any official logos on her uniform that would tie her in to the country, which is mostly a precaution in case she were to get captured during a covert operation. Her boots, belt, and gloves are all white to symbolize purity and light, and she wears Britannia's lion head crest on her belt buckle to pay homage to the goddess that blessed her family with its powers.

Powers: (Mostly the same as before, just natural from her inherit magic abilities)

Elizabeth is essentially a tank, possessing super strength and enhanced durability that make her incredibly tough to bring down. She was able to shrug off tank shells and artillery fire during battle, in addition to gunfire from fighters and bombers, though a suppressing fire used against her has the potential to slow her down and injure her through sheer force trauma. In battle, Elizabeth demonstrated the strength to pick up and throw tanks, along with the ability to bend metal and rend it with her fists. She could fly faster than any fighter plane and often served as an escort for British bombing runs late in the war. She is immortal and possesses an accelerated healing factor and resistance to normal diseases and most poisons. She has a natural resistance to mental/psionic attacks, and has shown to have some limited elemental powers, having been seen to wrap her fists with lightning/electricity in one battle, though she rarely displays these abilities. Her only true weakness is magic, which when combined with the proper chemicals or weapons, can injure her quite badly.

Alter-Verse Note - From time to time Elizabeth has teamed up with Lady Crimson and Majorette of the Rockettes, her uniform making her a natural fit with the team.

I'll also be doing some very minor tweaks to her character data to bring her more in line with what I have planned in my universe, and to "polish her up" a bit so that I'm motivated to write some stories with her. She's one of my favorite characters I've ever created and a ton of work went into her design and creation. I wanted to draft something up to give the artist I'm going to have draw her new uniform some good reference points for her costume, since we're kind of going from scratch on this one.
