Background:

Skyhawk is a heroine from another era, a time far in the future where the civilization of Earth is super advanced due to huge leaps in technology. Tamara hails from the year 2317, a time of both great triumph and turmoil for the planet Earth. Sometime in the early 2200s, humanity achieved interstellar travel, which attracted the attention of an advanced alien race known as the Huu'larians. The Huu'larians had been observing Earth for many centuries, seeing the potential in the human race, but also acknowledging the dangers the humans posed to the interstellar community. Initial meetings between the two races were ultimately peaceful and led to an exchange of both culture and technology, which eventually led to the Earth entering an amazingly advanced technological age. However as time moved on, basic human characteristics of greed and selfishness reared their ugly heads, causing an "arms race" between the nations of Earth to see who could become the most advanced.

The Huu'larians were unwilling to stand by and observe what they thought of as childish behavior on humanity's part and stepped in, peacefully at first. However their patience with humanity eventually wore out and the powerful alien race ultimately attempted to take over Earth. What they thought would be an easy victory soon turned into a long drawn out war, as it became evident the humans had been working on counter measures against the aliens in secret for many years. The Huu'larians also underestimated humanity's basic nature to come together in the face of a threat to their planet. The warring factions of Earth quickly united into one government and mounted a valiant counterattack against their would be alien conquerors. The tide was further turned when humanity revealed they had been building a large war fleet in secret outside the orbit of Neptune, hidden by a nearby black hole which made sensor scans of the area almost impossible. The Huu'larians never saw this coming and soon found themselves fighting a losing battle on two fronts, both in space and on the ground.

The Huu'larian war lasted for almost 7 years, but eventually the alien race cut their losses and fled into deep space to lick their wounds. Humanity began to rebuild and for a time thrived once again in an age of technological marvels. History often repeats itself and once again the worst qualities of humanity reared their ugly heads, causing the world to fall into chaos. While the United Earth Alliance attempted to govern the entire planet, rogue nations arose under powerful dictators and railed against their authority. Huu'larian ships still scattered the wastelands and battlefields of Earth, yielding technological treasures to any brave pirates or corporate mercenaries. The rogue nations eventually united under a powerful warlord who went only by the name Doctor Dragos. Dragos was a brilliant scientist who used Earth's technological wonders to reign terror on any who opposed him.

In response to the growing threat, the UEA sanctioned a super soldier program using alien DNA splicing and genetic modification that used the stored DNA of Earth's past heroes. Rather than search out volunteers, advanced technology was used to "grow" the candidates in advanced labs hidden throughout the planet. Unfortunately for the UEA, Dragos didn't give them the chance to gain a foothold, using his death squads to attack the UEA's cloning and creation facilities, which nearly wiped out their entire program in a matter of months. Only a handful of the lab grown super soldiers survived and achieved full development, though the few that made it were the pinnacle of human evolution and power. They were given names and callsigns, along with advanced training and amazing technology that only boosted the abilities given to them through genetic engineering.

Tamara Johnston was one of the few who made it, and blessed with the DNA of Silver Falcon, she gained the name Skyhawk for her command of her impressive flight powers and energy blasts. Her prowess as a combatant and strategist earned her command of the entire squad of remaining super soldiers, and they slowly began to push Dragos and his squad back into their conquered territories. Unfortunately the brilliant Dragos already had his endgame in mind, having unlocked the ability to travel through time, he planned to transport his entire base of operations 300 years into the past, where he would be able to trample the armies of Earth in a matter of minutes. A last ditch effort was launched to stop his insane plan, with Skyhawk and her team succeeding in breaching Dragos' base of operations. Most of her comrades died during the siege, but Skyhawk made it through and battled Dragos in an epic final showdown, which saw her victorious, though she was badly injured.

Skyhawk succeeded in disabling Dragos' time travel machine, but with his dying breath, the insane villain used the last of his power to blast Skyhawk senseless with an energy beam, which also blasted her back into the collapsing time portal. Her punishment for ruining his plans of world domination would be an eternity of imprisonment in the void. This would be a short lived exile though, as the portal destabilized and blasted her back into the past, depositing her in the 21st Century on "primitive" Earth. Initially shocked at her arrival nearly 300 years in the past, Tamara eventually recovered from her brutal battle with Dragos and joined the heroes of Paragon City to battle threats in her new time period. She spent several years trying to find a way "home," but the lack of any Huu'larian technology coupled with humanity's primitive level of technology made these efforts futile. Tamara eventually realized she was stuck and focused her efforts on making her new timeline a safer place to exist.

Advanced Genetics - Skyhawk was created from a mixture of super human DNA enhanced with Huu'larian biological samples. In an odd twist of fate, the template for her super human genetics was taken from leftover DNA samples of the historic Earth heroine Silver Falcon.

Advanced Fighting Skills - Skyhawk was trained in the future to be a master of multiple combat forms. She is an incredible martial artist and strategist, making her a valuable ally on the battlefield.

Superhuman Strength and Durability - Skyhawk's advanced genetics and dense skeleton allow her to possess superhuman strength. Her lifting capacity is rated somewhere in the range of 30-40 metric tons. Her body is incredibly durable, some even think she is invulnerable, and her skin is nearly impervious to damage from anything but the most powerful weapons.

Bio-Energy Force Fields - Skyhawk's unique genetic structure allows her to create localized force fields surrounding her body. The strength of these fields is amplified by the field emitters built into her gauntlets. The shield can easily stop most conventional artillery and weaponry.

Bio-Energy Blasts - Skyhawk is able to concentrate her body's bio-energy to create powerful blasts from her hands.

Superhuman Healing and Metabolism - Skyhawk's body heals at an astronomical rate. She can shrug off minor injuries in a matter of seconds and if someone manages to break her ultra dense bones, they will heal in a matter of minutes. This coupled with her super strong body makes her nearly impervious to damage, allowing her to fill a tank role and take on opponents that are more powerful than her.

Flight - Skyhawk has been tracked hitting 3000+ mph in atmosphere.

Weaknesses and Limitations:

Skyhawk's genetically created body almost acts as a battery, creating bio-energy that powers her abilities. Though there are no direct ways to drain this energy from her, she can exhaust it in prolonged battles and taking heavy punishment over a long fight can make her feel tired and weak. She can be overwhelmed by multiple heavy hitters and those with advanced technological energy weaponry. She has also shown discomfort when taking electric based attacks. Skyhawk also needs to breathe, and though she can hold her breath for well over 30 minutes, eventually she needs oxygen and will pass out. Heavy doses of gas type weapons have also been shown to slow her down a bit, making her more vulnerable to heavy physical attacks.

Here we have a new addition to my stable of original characters. I've been working on this one for a bit and the idea came up while brainstorming with I've modified it a bit since then and came up with Skyhawk. I think she is a rather interesting character and she'll be a lot of fun to write. Her origin story will sort of coincide with Medevac's origin tale and given that my OC heroine Serenity is a Huu'larian...it should make for some interesting interactions between those two should they eventually meet.
