I've read the first two books of 'The Dragonrider Chronicles', Fledgling and Avian, at least four times each, and I just recently found out that the third book, Traitor, comes out on May 17th, the day after my birthday! I already pre-ordered it

'The Dragonrider Chronicles' is an indie, YA fantasy novel, written by an author here on dA known as GreyBird4 . Nicole Conway, is a brilliant writer, and I had the wonderful pleasure of reading an excerpt of Fledgling, the first book in the series, while it was still in the editing process. From then, I was hooked.

I have depicted Jaevid Broadfeather, the awesome, half-elf protagonist, here. (Of course, this is how he looks at the end of Avian. SPOILER ALERT. Lol)

This took me about 6 hours in Paint Tool SAI. I'm proud of how it looks. ^_^

[EDIT:] This is a fairly old piece. I didn't do much to it, but I edited the colors saturations and tones a bit, and I cropped in to remove the unnecessary space. Anyway, I think I might redo this piece at some point though. Going back and adjusting things makes me want to draw Jaevid again ^^
