Description
I tried and failed to look for a tutorial on beamman's digital ripple. I see tutorials on how to use it but not how to get the smooth ripple similar to beamman's demo video.After so long ; A ;
I managed to do the smooth ripple
Anyways I hope this tutorial helps you. Have fun making MMD videos.

// If it is still white, try downloading beamman's effect again and retry it.

That's is because that your computer cant handle the effect, you need a better graphics card. Doing that is just an installment, it wont do any harm to your computer but a bit expensive.

Wow it cut me off.
** Maybe for smoother ripples you need anti-aliasing on?

crossglaive In reply to megu-poid [2013-07-31 23:28:23 +0000 UTC]
pffft! I misread your comment.
I tried with and without the anti-aliasing. No changes as far as I can see.
It also seems that anti-alias is turned off on the codes. I tried turning it on but no changes too

Oooohh, huh. That's...really odd... e n e
It must be the values it has then....?????Β
Β But that's weird too, I guess it isn't supposed to be on then = v =;;

How can I change color? I don't get what you were doing to change the color...
π: 0 β©: 2
crossglaive In reply to Asa-Chi [2013-07-31 22:12:43 +0000 UTC]
In the LigthColor section you need to change the values inside the {0,0,0} {R,G,B}
So let's say you want to have a red color ripple you will need to change that value into {1,0,0}
and if you want other colors you will need to combine the values for example is {0.75,0,0.25} for something similar to pink color and if you want something like purple the valuesΒ {0.25,0.15,0.60} looks great.
You can also check the video version if you still can't change the color,
here is the video link

When you open the fx using notepad, does the japanese characters come out or they are all symbols or boxes?

The order of the numbers is set to the order of RGB (Red, Green, Blue, a computer's primary colors)
The highest strength for a color is 1.
No strength would be 0.
You mess with the decimals like '0.5, 0, 0.5',(Part Red, part blue)Β for example, you would get purple. It's like mixing paint but in numbers
Change it into various values between 0 & 1 if you want to play around with the colors c:
Did that help? c:
