Page 21 is roughed out already and today was my last day of school. YAY. So Imma get shit DONE.Ned's past with Lucy was bittersweet. Things happened.

He always went alone, but he's really loud on stories and would go on about his exploits upon coming back home. Specific incident was at a dinner party where friends and family were invited and her parents were there to hear him talking about making whooping noises while running around a boy scout camp with his privates hanging out.

And here goes another one. It's probably gonna persist when Charlie confronts Ned and they're gonna fight to the death, Charlie because he thinks Ned's responsible for Hassan's death and NEd because he's flashing back and thinks that Charlie's trying to take Lucy (Marina) away from him.

Every time a switch turns in his head, I get a little more sad for Ned. Is there any inspiration drawn from the Fisher King? That sort of deep sadness buried in a genius mendicant thing is reminiscent of it.
