Then, you just need to upload the image onto deviant art. Preferably the one with the white backgrounds in your Spore Pictures folder, otherwise the background wont be replaced and will remain black.

As long as your patches and expansions are installed in the correct order, then the installation of Dark Injection is extremely easy.
What you do is go to one of the creature editors of your choice, go to test drive and choose the background that is all black. Then you just need to take screenshots with "c" or the camera button. Bam! That's how you do it

Only works for creatures ingame. I'm sure if you wished to do it with any other creation or image, you would need to go through editing in photoshop or some similar program.
