Cirracha and Jawwee

I could not get a good enough look at any of the wildlife in the reef as I could not go into the water without being left behind. I could however watch the creatures that land on the sandbar.

One of these was the Cirracha which is a medium sized avian creature that is comfortable in both the ocean and the sky. It looks like it has gills but they could be air sacks. They are aggressive and flock about any food source like floating carcasses and at try to pick off any Felonapes that swim too close to the surface. They have a sort of tri opening beak that allows them to eat prey quickly and effectively.

The Jawwee is a smaller variant that has chitinous armour that helps them endure the impact of diving into the water from great heights. Their ray like wing structure allows them to glide through the water with little energy waste and great, using that momentum in the water to shoot right back into the sky.
