Powers:

Smart Bastard- Zilla has been gifted with new, great intellect, and he's able to learn quickly and outthink most of his foes, using every possible occasion to achieve his goal;

Sharp- Dop's claws and teeth are elongated beyond normal, and are sharp and resistant as diamonds. His spines, from his neck to the tip of his tail, have pretty much the same features, giving him an overall sharp outline;

Swift- Dop is a fast fighter, striking with deadly speed and precision. His theropod-like body allows fast movements and good running speed, as well as the ability to leap long distances. Doppelzilla's body is very flexible, and his reflexes allow him to dodge most attacks shifting his body in disturbing angles. Zilla can also climb on every surface, much like a gecko lizard;

Shape-shifter- Zilla's new look also gave him a new power: overlapping his scales and creating a domino-like effect all over his body, Zilla can transform. His new master gifted him with the ability to change into everything he wishes, making him the ultimate shapeshifter. He can imitate any creature he sees, up to the voice and behavior. Transformation does not allow him to take on the other creature's abilities, so his strenght and resistance are the same in whatever form he takes;

Land Shark- Zilla mantained his ability to both burrow and swim at remarkable speed, rivaling kaiju like Baragon and Megalon. Burrowing does not affect the sharpness of his claws, and he can remain underwater for several hours before having to resurface to breathe;

Atomic Fire- Much like his son, Zilla has developed the ability to breathe fort gusts of green flames, which radiate with unnatural heat. Said flames do burn like regular fire, but they feel a lot more painful than any flame, and most horrible is that they do not consume their target, they liquefy it. Any material, organic or not, is painfully turned into a liquid pool of biomass, perfect for the monster to consume later;

Regeneration- Like any other monster, Doppelzilla can heal his injuries with time. His regeneration is, under normal condition, nothing exceptional by kaiju standards, but if he manages to swallow flesh of blood, the healing power works much faster, depending on the ingested quantity of biomass;

Reproduction- Zilla can still reproduce asexually, but he cannot do that without acquiring a certain quantity of biomass first. Once he ingests enought biomass, he'll fuse the DNA with his own, and lay 1-3 eggs (depending on the biomass ingested) with that genetic code. The hatchling will look just like its parent, but its genetic code will be half that of Doppelzilla and Half another monster's one. The child can access to this other monster's power, other than be able to take on its appearance. Doppelzilla's offspring is completely under his control and, once adult, they're roughly 40 meters tall, while he reaches the 90 meters. These little demons are just a little less smart than their parent, and they've proven to be a highly useful infiltration unit, for many humans have been devoured by Doppelzilla and substitued by a Zilla hatchling;

Camouflage- Dop's shapeshifting power also enables him to change the color of his skin, mantaining a spectral blue as his main color. He can even blend perfectly with his surroundings, becoming all but invisible. This is perfect to give him time to recovery, but he cannot remaining invisible while shape-shifting, and he can become invisible only in his base form;

Weaknesses:

Frail- Just as ever, despite his new powers Zilla is still quite frail in constitution when compared to other monsters;

Weak Scales- Since they are the main surce of his mutagenic power, Dop's scales are not as though as other reptiles's, they're about as resistant as his previous ones;

History:

Enought is enought, and Zilla had enought. He was blamed to be an impostor, a copy of a creature he didn't even know, but was appearently considered a hero by everyone. First they launched a bomb on him, tranformed him in some kind of giant monster, then they even blamed and hated him for being what they had made him become.
It has to be said that he didn't do anything bad at all. He simply went on a strange, metal covered island to lay his eggs, following his instinct. They shot him with their blasted fiery weapons, they killed his youngs an then shot at him again, preventing him from obtaining his revenge. He was mortally wounded, but his regenerative abilities healed him and he dove back to the sea.
After that, those alien freaks took control of him, and forced him to do what he prohibited himself to do: destroy mankind. He'd admit that, while scared at first, he came to enjoy the destruction of those filthy beings.
Then HE came. HE caused it all. HE was his curse. HE was to blame. Godzilla. Even without the freaks's control, he charged at the monster with hatred in his heart. The walking mountain shrugged off his similar's attacks, and fired his blue ray at him. He was nearly burned to death. However, he managed to burrow and get to the sea.
Then, he heard Hellgodzilla's call. Wanting revenge on both mankind and Godzilla, he responded, and though mortally wounded, he managed to make his way to Hellgodzilla. A step away from death, he vowed loyalty at the demonic dinosaur, for in some ways they were similar: both were considered bad copies of an hero.
Hellgodzilla executed many unknown experiments on the giant lizard, combining dark magic and alien energies in its body. Since Zilla's scales and tissues were badly damaged, HG gave the monster a new skin and with that new DNA and power.
Now Zilla has a bluish body and clearly bigger and movable scales, not more resistant than his previous ones. Also, his muzzle became dark, forming a sort of mask around his now yellow eyes, and he's got bigger fangs.
Now Zilla calls himself Doppelzilla and is a formidable spy for Hellgodzilla, thanks to the new smartness and deceiving ability his master gifted him with. Now he's going to prove the world what a damage a "bad copy" can do...

Personality:
Doppelzilla is a creature consumed by hatred and a need of vengeance, feeling that everybody has rejected him when he didn't do anything bad at all. He's sick of everyone hating him, not for what he has done, but for what he IS. He swore he'd give them a reason to FEAR him, and Hellgodzilla provided him such an occasion. He's fiercely loyal to the evil overlord, for he's the only one who didn't reject him. Dop can be described like a bullied kid who decided to pay back his oppressors. He has no remorse, for he received none. The only one he spares his hatred for is his son, because for how disappointing his carreer may have been, he's still the only family he has left.

Note1:
Recently, some rumors are spread about the fact that Doppelzilla can impersonate humans, or even unliving things, like skyscrapers or monuments. These rumors are unfound, for its unlikely that Doppelzilla can change so much his size or base form. However, a strange, new arrival to EDF's base can tell something else: the new guy is dr. Nick Toppler, a promising young man quite smart for his age. The strange in this guy are his eyes, who's got little blue bags around. He said he suffers from insomnia. Also, someone heard him growling from his office. He explained he's got throat problems. More has to be discovered on this guy.

Doppelzilla has recently showed a new evolution of his powers: by collecting genetic material, his shapeshifting power is brought to extreme, absorbing both the enemy's powers and memories. In order to do so, however, Doppelzilla has to bite on his foe and drink a great amount of blood, or at least to eat some chunks of its flesh. He can also consume the liquefied remains of the foes he burned with his flames. This absorbed biomass gives him the complete genetic map of the opponent, so he can duplicate it. To obtain its memories and knowledge, Doppelzilla must completely consume the brain.

I felt like revamping ol' Dop here, I just love his character.

As one can imagine, I've always liked Zilla. In fact, he was the first version of Godzilla I saw as a kid, and he will always have a special place for me, no matter how many Toho assholes insult him. They see him as a Doppelganger? I gave them a Doppelganger to FEAR.

I needed that rant. Opinions, guys?
