"I have always wondered. Why does Nintendo not just give the Pokemon the correct anatomy? It's not like it's going to destroy a child's mind to see a sheath on an Eevee. For one thing, Pokemon are essentially just ANIMALS. Kids, and everyone else, see real-life animals every day, and know what they look like. If anything, not giving them the correct anatomy is going to CONFUSE kids, because they'll wonder why what they're seeing on TV does not look the way it would in real life. Furthermore, in the anime series AND the games, every single Pokemon is reffered to as "it" even though they APPARENTLY have genders. Unless they drop the "it" crap, there is no way to tell a Pokemon's gender at all in the anime/cartoon. If anything, adding the proper anatomy would be a HELPFUL thing."Overdue stamp for

I wish more ppl could think like you! It is so hard to tell the difference between the genders on here on OCs sometimes! I don´t get why ppl are so afraid of drawing correct anatomy! It is natural, c´mon... :/ doesn´t mean it is "porn!" Just good anatomy so you can tell what the hell a creature is. And makes it that more convincing too. A male = Penis / Prepuce and testicals. Female = Bewbs and vag.
Now I can understand if ppl shy away from drawing aroused genitalia which is for pornographic purposes, but normal, un-aroused genitalia shouldn´t in my mind be an issue. Ofc said genitalia is kept in proportion and not grossly exaggerated to insane lvls.
Ppl are artistic cowards. Genitalia can be stylized in a great way without comprimising the "cartoon" aspect, so I am not a buyer of the "it´s mah stylistic choice baawwww!" comment that ppl often make when shying away from adding afromented parts to animal/human. It´s just sad really, that some artists just censor parts which are natural like that, even manga pros.
lol genitala actually affects posture/poses but many forget this I find as they neglect learning to draw genitalia in the first place.
This whole rant is basically my soapbox on correct anatomy and that more artists need to strive to master it first and not be afraid of genitala.
That´s why I draw ALL genitalia in my works no matter manga, cartoon, semi-real, clothed, furred etc.

I believe it is the correct grammar, as to why Pokemon are referred to as an "it". They're like pets dogs, and cats, despite gender are referred to as "its". I never really agreed with it but thats how it goes.
Now about the reproductive organ buisness, its a kid's cartoon or game I guess. I don't think children really think about sheaths enough to realize how unrealistic it is. Same reason there is not blood for the most part in cartoons. Its like asking why can't you see Sonic or Tail's sheaths and testicles. I imagine it'd only increase the amounts of rule 34 anyway
