This is a skin I have made for the upcoming movie Batman: The Dark Knight.
This skin will totally transform your Messenger into a dark and winged creation. Its the sort of skin where looking at pictures and reading about it won't really show the experience behind it.
Its really something you have to see and try for yourself to see what its all about.

The new 2011 is a pretty rough situation for me.
The main thing being that Messenger Plus doesn't 100% work with it just yet. But in terms of skinning there doesn't seem to be any way to physically turn off the window frame so I can't create my own Min Max Close buttons.
So that pretty much also throws anything with a custom shape out the window. There are a lot of technicalities I have to figure out with 2011 before I can start making anything for it.
A lot of designs will have to be adapted to suit this new layout as well. That is kind of the reason there isn't really anything out for 2011 at the moment except for a few basic skins.

hey ive always likes this skin, i saw it on the wmpl site, but can you remake it for 9? 8.5 doesnt work since microsoft blocked it.

I'm not sure if you are familiar with the Maxthon browser. It's a customizable browser. Do you think you can design a dark knight theme for that?

nah, i'm just an Windows Live Messenger skinner. Thats the only thing I have time to skin for since I already know it back to front. Learning to skin something else isn't something that I'm gonna do now that I got a job and everything.

Ok I see. Windows messenger 9.0 beta just came out. I can't use your skin with that. Can you design another bat-skin for beta?

Thats a leaked beta, its not official. I'm not going to create anything complicated for WLM 9 beta because its not worth it. Only official WLM beta testers are meant to have that version anyway so I'm not going to support a leak.
But the main reason is because a WLM skin needs to be recoded from scratch for every new major version, but with beta's it has to be recoded for every new build.
So if they decide to release a couple new builds before the final version it would mean I would have to completely start it again every time they do it.
The only time I plan to make something complex for WLM 9 is when it becomes final, since any new build after that would only need a small minor update which takes about 30 mins to do.
Thats the reason you don't see as many skins on WLM 9 beta.
