It's Back! Phunk'n has been brought to Messenger 2009 and it is now better than ever
This skin is something that goes above and beyond existing skins and brings the birth of a new era in Windows Live Messenger skins. Available in both black and white with a series of user options.
Ad's aren't removed because of the rules on the Messenger Plus site so if you want them removed you have to get the remover from [link] You have to register on the boards though just so this file isn't available to the general public.

yeah you just use the colour switcher like you normally would in messenger.

Technical limitation. It doesn't actually use the colour you pick, it tints the default image with the colour you pick. If you pick white. it tints the image to an unsaturated colour. So yeah. Don't expect to get 100% the colour you want. Messenger doesnt work that way.

The 8.5 version is discontinued now simply because I would have to rewrite a few bits of it in order to make it compatible with the new Messenger Plus! Live. It's something I don't have the time for since people will be forced to upgrade to Messenger 9 eventually.
I have got an archived version of the old 8.5, but please note it may not function correctly. So yeah use it at your own risk.

Nah the reason is simply because aPatch directly patches Messengers source files and a skin will load on top of whatever Messengers source files are. So no matter what you do the skin will load its own files on top of whatever you have.
Its a technical limitation so yeah there's nothing you can do.

I thought about making a VS in the past, but I'm on Vista and making visual styles in vista is far too limited to even bother with. There is windowblinds, but that you have to pay for and well I don't want to spend to money. I tried it once, but found that it had issues with far too many programs for my liking.

I cant get msn plus live to download to my computer, everytime it reaches 99%, it stops downloading, Ihv tried firefix and IE, both are the same thing..... anyone could solve this problem ?

What people dont realise is there is a text override feature in Messenger Plus that lets you force your contacts font to change.
To use the text override feature in Messenger Plus! live. Go into preferences under the conversations tab and then under the formatting category and tick "override the font used by my contacts by default".
If you choose the font you can also choose the color. Just one thing though, this feature only works if your contact is not using the same font as you so what I did is download a font which is nice and readable but isn't a standard windows font and isn't really common and use that as my writing font.
That way the text override feature would have a high success rate. I just hope that in future versions of Plus skins might be able to control this just so its a lot more user friendly. Until then this is the only workaround.
The other thing you can do of course is go into the skins option and turn on the light background for text areas. That will solve the problem

I love your skin work! but I have a problem with the chat whit the font black and letters black too, is the predeterminated color for the users and all people have letters in dark color, and me too so be a good idea a alternative font in white, I try put a diferent background and is the option.

Its just replacing Messengers emoticons resources. It only changes what you see, the people on the other end still see the default ones.
Its mainly just a cosmetic thing. So yeah
