Sirius and James are arrogant and bold; they are sitting next to each other and wish about their exciting time of joy at Hogwarts. They feel irritation and displeasure from their unexpected neighborhood, but Lily is so beautiful and brave and her eyes are open wide. In this scene they were meeting at first time. I love how Snape's hair is covering most of his face, his whole posture and look screams uncomfortable and outcast. I like how you added detail in the background (trunks) and in the foreground (cage) it really shows depth.

Of course that sharp jacket his wearing helps, but his expression especially is just so conceited and self-satisfied, it really captures the essence of a spoiled little brat!! (which is really what a young James was) xd

I love this scene and this picture. So many emotions. Sirius, who grew up in a cold household, finally found a friend. James, who only heard good things about Hogwarts, is excited to attend. Lily is upset because of what her sister said to her before she left. Severus is, well the way that he always is--critical, stand-offish. He is also starting to experience the first pangs of unease--Lily will meet other magical friends and he will (in his mind) no longer be "that one" special, magical friend. It is the beginning, and these four have no idea how they will be all connected not far in the future and how all four of them will die violent deaths while still young.
