In our competition we had task with a card from deck of Tarot and this card is called Hermit.

HERMIT TAROT CARD MEANINGS:
Upright: Soul-searching, introspection, being alone, inner guidance
Reversed: Isolation, loneliness, withdrawal
The Hermit represents the desire to turn away from the getting and spending of society to focus on the inner world. He seeks answers within and knows that they will come only with quiet and solitude.
There comes a point in life when we begin to question the obvious. We sense that there is a deeper reality and begin to search for it. This is mainly a solitary quest because answers do not lie in the external world, but in ourselves.
The Hermit is a symbol of the search.

If we talk about Tom Riddle it’s about his great mythical Goal to deceive the Death and the long lonely violent complicated Way to it.

«Дьявол не выдал. Мне все удалось.
Вот и могущества явные знаки.
Вынь из груди мое сердце и брось
Самой голодной собаке».

I think this poem written by Anna Akhmatova is good here too, because characters and feelings and atmosphere and human fate always don’t change.
Tom’s challenge is impressive, powerful and unbending. It can be said that this challenge is becoming insane, colored by fierce of fighting, murders and destroy and leading away into the darkness with it’s traps.
Tom never feels calm and he always has a fight inside. He doesn’t trust anyone and he has a lonely trip into the shadows.
You can see dark blood spots on Tom’s cloak. (I can see it on my computer, hope you can see it too)
This part of song “Hello, my Death” written by Boris Grebenshikov also is also fits well, when we talk about life and human ways. It’s complicated and simple at the same time.

И каждый говорит о любви в словах,
Каждый видит прекрасные сны,
Каждый уверен, что именно он - источник огня,
И это - тема для новой войны.

И кто-то ждет нас на том берегу,
Кто-то взглянет мне прямо в глаза,
Но я слышал песню, в ней пелось:
“Делай, что должен, и будь, что будет”,

Мне кажется, это удачный ответ на вопрос;
Но каждый из нас торгует собой всерьез,
Чтобы купить себе продолженье весны.
И каждый в душе сомневается в том, что он прав,

In comments to the picture people told me of some good ideas about this picture and I have taken some quotes:
“Surely Tom is genius but what about the way he chose to go away from Death? It’s a bad way and it’s not a question it’s a fact. He could be a great Magician but actually he was a bogeyman for thousands people”.
I think he is one and another at the same time. He like all great wizard has his own Legend he cares for and extraordinary magical nature. But he is obsessed about never-ending existence, destruction and murdering. He is always in fight with world and this part of his mind takes away all of his glory and forces and opportunities.
“I feel pity about Tom, he is homeless and miserable…” But everyone has his own kinds of happiness. Tom has had many triumphal and great moments and it’s valuable for him. Moreover Albus always is beside him. Albus looks after and fights with him and waits. They are connected in this life and in another)), I think it’s good and really energetic times for both of them.)
