A Warhol-esque take on Astro City's superheroine Winged Victory,based on an illustration by Brent Anderson.

The title refers to the origin of her superhuman abilities...she was Lauren Freed,originally believing herself to be weak and overly dependent.While on vacation in Paris,she saw in the Louvre the famous statue Winged Victory Of Samothrace...the image of a headless,armless but powerful female figure caused her to have a dream which was actually a summons to the island of Samothrace,where she had a mystical encounter with the Council Of Nike,a group of powerful women of various ages and races from around the world. They offered her power if she promised to use it in the service of mankind,and Winged Victory was born.

I actually put this together rather quickly...I wanted something to put in an empty folder in the gallery of my relatively new DA group,
