From the Astro City comics...Samaritan,Winged Victory and Jack-In-The-Box grab a late-hour bite at Looney Leo's.

Based on the Edward Hopper painting Nighthawks.

When I started this,originally I was just going to take the iconic image,paint out the people in it and substitute new characters.....I did something like that with A Friend In Need,one of the more famous works from Cassius Coolidge's Dogs Playing Poker series...but after studying Nighthawks,I decided to just reproduce the whole thing,using the original as a guide. It was a fascinating rendering.
