Before DeviantArt,I posted some artwork on doombuggies.com,which I'm sure many already know as a Haunted Mansion-themed site.
For Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris,the Imagineers created some rather clever liquor bottle labels for the ghost town scene,all of which are great examples of gallows humor---these can be seen on page 138 of the '96 edition of the Walt Disney Imagineering book,if you have it---these inspired me to create some of my own.Sadly,many of these aren't posted anymore,and I no longer have the original files{although two of them,Hatbox Ghost and [Jack]Sparrow Rum can be seen lying on the ground in "The Boot Hill Broken Jug Band" in my gallery}
A few of those labels did veer into pirate territory,and I had this unused sketch of a carousing buccaneer and his less-than-ladylike companion;it became the basis for this piece.
