~entry for =firstfear 's Mother Earth contest~After my first doll I realized that I can't draw cartoonish people the way others draw them, but I can draw my own style of abstract looking people. This girl looks like most of my random doodles, so I was pleased with the way she came out. Limbs are bent, head is small, appendages are elongated, and I'm satisfied with that.
The background is supposed to be like clay or something with animals carved in it. There's a sea turtle, eagle, squirrel, snail, and a snake hidden in the top of the largest circle. The rocks/dirt clods the girl is holding represent the earth just as the clay does, and they spin counter clockwise to represent the earth's rotation.

The more I look, the better this gets. I can't Get over the glorious shimmer her wings have, and the wonderful texture of the stones, the plants, the flowers... It's a festival of pixel art, and I've never seen such a take on the art form. Good job is an understatement!

Great sense of color, and what a beauty this huge piece of pixel art is! I can't believe it's pixel art - it's simply too stunning. Upon seeing the full view, my eyes land on the hummingbird and the butterfly, and I think the animations are simple and nice. They make their point and add a sense of whimsical fun to this vivid piece. The girl looks great - love the style with the thin and elongated arms and legs (and no mouth on that cute little head of hers), plus the detailing of her faerie wings. The rich terra cotta in the back helps bring her forward, and your art goes so deep into the whole piece that it simply oozes flair.

Man, you are so good at this. I think you've found your art niche. ^_^ Your way of drawing people looks totally cool, and even if it isn't in proportion (ex., the belly button should be a little higher up... but that's nit-picking) it looks in proportion, so it's all good.

Neat...in some ways the pose and proportions remind me of the art that comes with Sigur Rรณs' album Agaetis Byrjun, even if otherwise the characters are nothing alike.
