Update: Original sketch is up on my blog in case you would like to see: [link]This piece is about a world where there are these creatures that live in the water, but if they break the surface they become paralyzed by fear because they are... really stupid.
There are also these little land dwelling monsters that move into the water creatures and make them their homes.
It was kind of a weird idea I had while doodling in a coffee shop. Soon after I realized this kind of parallels my current frustrations of finding my own place to live. The apartment I wanted had restrictions and I could not move in. It has made it difficult for me to look for anything else as I fell in love with that apartment. But anywho, I'm looking into some other options now.
I just think it would be cool if we could toss a line and easily find a new place to live.
I worked on this during a few live stream sessions, thanks to all who stopped in to check it out, I will also post the original sketch soon, if anyone is interested.

This reminds me of a toy we used to play with in preschool. You'd connect these parts with tubes and shapes and things, then you'd let a ball roll down it.

Thank you so much! The red fish is surprisingly very similar to one of my first illustrations I posted on dA. But I must have deleted it from my gallery. Its fun to bring back some of the old, in weird new ways. I wasn't even aware of it until my friends mentioned, "ITS A NARWHAL!" I used to draw narwhals all the time about 6 years ago. fun stuff.

It's kinda weird to me that one of the creatures (the purple one) has two faces?? Hahaha! Oh the mustached face is such a winner. Literally burst out laughing when you wrote "because they are... really stupid" Reminded me of turkeys and how they stare at the rainwater with their mouths open story.
