omg, this is astounding. I didn't even know dragonflies cocooned or molted like that (or whatever this one is doing...).

It was just luck really, that it climbed up that particular stem, and my dad saw it just after it emerged from its shell. Glad u liked it anyway

no, that brown casing in front of it is what it came out of. its a dragonfly nymph and the dragonfly had just emerged from it and was waiting for the sun to heat itself up. i was lucky to capture it.
