aw thanks for the mention, they eat frozen bloodworms, little processed pellets, worms and finger tips (they don't have teeth, luckily) they live for 12-18 years, grow fairly large, know their owner from other people, wave at you with their little five fingered hands (which look eerily human), regenerate when injured so well that scientists have swapped axolotl's brains and other bits in all kinds of twisted experiments >> [link] and >> [link] should provide for some gruesome bedtime reading. Axolotls are relatively common in pet stores, are cheap and fairly easy to care for, just look up the back or in the tanks they sell underwater plants in, I'll post some pics of mine when I get a chance to dig up some files FT

hehe, thats stuff is creepy but quite interesting. they sound awesome, much more interesting than cats. who knows, i may even get one in the future let me know if u put up some pics.

Axolotl people, it's an axolotl (or mexican walking fish for the plebians). It is a highly intelligent amphibian that remains in a neotic (adolescent) state for its whole life, I have raised four of them and I can definately say they are quite cute, particularly when they bite onto your finger and won't let go....

he's a mud puppy!!!! or at least he looks like the ones we have here, just ours aren't white, well not the ones I have seen anyway, an albino mud puppy, that is kick ass wicked coolness!!!! I dissected mud puppies in college in one of my more advanced biology classes, it totally rocked!!! yes I am sick I know, it just all fascinates me!!! I am so taken by him that I simply must his albino mud puppy cuteness

This reminds me of me. I'm so white i'm actually transparent, when i go sunbathing it takes me a week to go white. hehe. Although, I do have to say...my eyes are slightly closer together lol.
