Crysta from Fern Gully is a fairy from an animated film who defends the rainforest she lives in, and she and the others are American despite the presence of Australian wildlife, whilst Mandrake from Epic is a dark force I forgot the name of who with his army is known to destroy the eco system that he lives in. Both of these animated films are from 20th Century Fox, and they involve a normal sized human being shrunken down to the size of the forest guardians to help them out, albeit by accident. Off camera in the universe of the live action Rescue Rangers film, I imagine Crysta being pretty much against Mandrake for the way that he'd been portrayed in the film that he comes from. The same you could say about some good guys in Epic about Hexus, who in Fern Gully as we know talked some humans into destroying the titular rainforest where the fairies live.
