Description
The Mr. Men Show is an animated series from the late 2000s based off the Mr. Men and Little Miss book series by Roger Hargreaves, of which is now in the hands of his son Adam Hargreaves. It had a total of 104 episodes in 2 seasons, in addition to having both a US (where it was worked upon) and UK (where the series was created) version, and it's about a select number of Mr. Men and Little Misses that had been redesigned and having slightly different traits from their book counterparts getting up to stuff themed around each of the 11 minute episodes in a town called Dillydale. Ever since The Mr. Men Show came around in the late 2000s, people like myself have come to prefer the way that the characters were portrayed in the show rather then the books, heck the name Mr. Nervous seems to sound better then Mr. Jelly, and characters created specifically for the show like Mr. Scatterbrain and Little Miss Daredevil should be seen again one of these years.
I only wish it had a 3rd season, not having such let to missed opportunities with episodes and character additions. The Mr. Men and Little Misses themselves haven't even had a single animated appearance throughout the entirety of the 2010s. These days The Mr. Men Show has been known as one of Cartoon Networks forgotten shows, it never even had reruns in North America following the show's cancellation that people like myself hadn't believed in for a total of like 4 years following then (during that time Chorion and the show's official website went defunct). Whilst there is a new Mr. Men series in the works that may likely be based around how the characters are in the books much like a show from the 1990s, I'm hoping that we can one of these years see the characters as the were in the show of the late 2000s again in some form. One way that this could be done is by having The Mr. Men Show get revived or rebooted in some form, the best person to handle such a thing if you ask me would be someone on Deviantart that becomes a cartoon creator, all to the point where some of those fanmade redesigns of characters that we never did get to see in the show can be made use of, provided they'll have ways of being unique and not clash with other characters.
If ever The Mr. Men Show were to one of those years get revived or rebooted, let's hope that whatever network it airs on in North America (even if it's not Cartoon Network) won't have new episodes premiere during school hours, and be sure that the series actually gets gets enough advertising and reruns, all to the point where there'll be people out there who actually saw the US Versions on TV screens as well as on YouTube. Let's hope as well that whoever comes up with such a revival or reboot can still work in things in the same way that we saw by the creative team of Mark Risley, which includes how the series is set out and continuing to feature things that were created specifically for the show.
