i don't know what it is about little mischa. i remember her when i first met her when she was like 16. i thought she was cute but ... there's a lot of cute girls in hollywood. cute young ones. even younger than 16.then she got that part on the o.c. she blew up.
luckily her head didn't swell.
she's still a totally sweet girl and it's always a pleasure to run into her.
and ... she's no longer dating one of the slimy-est friggin' hollywood-hangers on. congrats mischa!
the last one i posted of her was over a year ago ... and ... i'm leaving this in colour for y'all...

She is beautiful in a very natural way, not too "made up". That seems rare. At least in her business. Very pretty smile on her face too.

I assume that its simply by focusing your camera correctly, but how are you able to get her in such nice tight focus while having a pleasant soothing blurry backdrop? Is there a way you can do that with and old digital camera or do you need speical equipment? You're the most professional photographer i have the slightest correspondence with, and I enjoy / admire / aspire towards your work, and was wondering how I could accomplish that look.
I thoroughly enjoy the picture. I like the color in it. I also like how you didnt deviate TOO much from your black and white trend, and dropped the saturation more... I find that it allows the eyes to peruse the picture much more comfortably when there is not such obtrusive colors attacking the eyes. Keep taking great photos, I dont usually comment on EVERY one of them because i think my opinions of them would not only be inconsequential, but also repetitive. The ones I DO comment on... I like even more than the others

basically .. long glass has a real shallow dof effect when shot very close and wide open. probably not possible with an older digi cam.
also ... the angle in relation to the film/sensor plane is important!

I remember I loved this actress since before she blew up. She's in one of my favourite movies and acts quite amusingly("Lost & Delirious" in case anybody cares, were... by the way is Piper Perabo in what I'd say is her best performance I've seen yet) but yes... little Mischa Barton has evidently grown.

I guess... just the fact that she's a hot new image that molds and is molded in people and commertialism. I mean, its great that she's grown and admired, and I know she must still be a great person inside, but... the O.C.'s conventionalism of her character(well... cant really judge, only watched one episode) kind of blurs all she can be, for me...

an m6 from the 1980's and a 35/2.0 from the 80's or 70's.
