with the fucking eyes.

well ... i know i friggin' wouldn't.
people who yell at me get the c-bomb dropped. guy or girl.
doesn't matter.
like the ungrateful bastard who i got rep'd by an agency who says, "dude ... stop making her look at you. i can't get anything."
he'd probably burned through a 1gb card.
the one thing about line shooters ... they don't care about making something interesting.
just the standard eye-contact-head-shot.

anyway ... this 85/1.2L ... i see with it the way i see with my leica m's. different ... but much the same.
i saw washed out with backlight.
focused on her left eye.
magical bokeh of some fucked up background that ends up looking cool.
bumping the contrast.
adding some noise to the noise that's alread inherent at 800 iso.
i can't believe how much i love this lens.
sadly ... the leicas have suffered ever since the new baby arrived as it were.

canon e1dm2. 85/1.2L. 1/500th or so. f1/2. 800 iso. converted to b/w in ps cs with custom channel mixing actions. bumped contrast. adj levels.

I adore this picture. It's true what you've said, and find it sad that photos are no longer about the human inside them. This picture really shows that she's just like everyone else, and feels the same things. Sometimes we lose sight of that

When you take pictures of celebrities, they don't seem so far away. They look real, like real people in real everyday life rather than some beautiful woman you'll never really see wandering around the supermarket. You gave her life in this photo. She's human and you've proved that. Great job.

I really like the line the light creates around her head. Tried twice to create it so far - failed! The focus is great. But I think the right side of her head could be a bit darker - too light for me. Personal opinion of course, no offense meant.

i hate the idea of photographers who care more about the money a shot will get than the person in the shot! i would rather ask nicely and get denied than just take the shot.
