Description

Pom was nervous ahead of the premiere of her latest film - not because of the screaming fans or the constant red carpet cameras, she was used to all of that by now - but because of the Cybus Earpods that sat plugged into her ears. Pom was not a fan of Cybus; she was wary of the idea of a company having access to her brain and she had heard rumours of human cybernetic experimentation, but Cybus were a major funder in the film so she was contractually obligated to wear them during public events. Up to this point she had managed to avoid any of the Daily Downloads, and as she posed for the cameras she felt calm as the day's Download had already taken place.

However, as she stood there on the red carpet a two tone alert sounded out, just like when the Downloads occur, and everyone's Earpods activated including Pom's. Despite her lack of conditioning through the Downloads, even she could not resist the Earpod override for long and soon she stood completely still, her mind blank and under Cybus control. Commands flood her brain from the CybusNet and instantly she turns and begins to march as instructed, making her way towards the nearest Cybus Factory. As she walks through the street, strange metal men patrol and oversee the controlled population - occasionally they can be seen cornering humans without Earpods and either forcing them to march towards the factory with everyone else or 'deleting' them, electricity emerging from their hands on contact with the disobedient and killing them. Pom would be disturbed and terrified by these sights, but she does not react - all she can do is obey Cybus and march for her upgrade.
