Description
A rework of "Mutation". Mutation + Selection = Evolution, so maybe this image is the result of some kind of fractal Darwinism.Apophysis

Like many of my fractals, it's based on my Wire+Tube Fractals Tutorial .
Thanks for the kind comment!

The center globe looks as if it is alive with all of the tentacles branching off in all directions β Obviously spreading the evolution of its making
Very interesting you said you were able to isolate even change a color in the gradient used, Iβve tried to accomplish this with zero success β guess thereβs still a heck of a lot about Apop I havenβt experienced LOL

To make and modify my gradients, I'm using ApoMap. You can download it here: [link]
To import your gradient into Apo, open the Adjust/Gradient window and click on the "Open gradient browser" button.

You're welcome!!
I've got the ApoMap just never thought of using it in this manner - cool thanks!

"Mutation + Selection = Evolution, so maybe this image is the result of some kind of fractal Darwinism. "
Yes!
If you don't mind: I love the colors and the little bits all through the image but IMHO, the center doesn't quite fit the rest of the image. The color change is too much and the solid feel isn't in keeping with the detail in the rest of the image.
Just my feeling...

This kind of feedback is pretty rare and I appreciate it a lot, particularly coming from you (and it's a cool thing it's happening on a deviation called "Evolution")!
Personally, the central sphere does not shock me aesthetically, I think it adds some warm colors and light to an otherwise very dark and almost monochrome picture, but... I have read your opinion, looked at the flame in Apo and checked a few things.
By extraordinary chance, the central sphere can be completely isolated inside the gradient (remember there are no layers in Apo!), so I can freely change its color without altering other parts of the picture.
I have tried to remove it completely (black) - not good looking. When I use the color of external or inner spheres, it looks pretty good but I have the impression the picture is way too dark... but maybe that's just me.
Maybe I'll upload some variations to scraps, so that you can see them and tell me what you think.
Anyway, thanks very much for your comment, Kat!

I'm so glad you weren't offended, Luc! I simply wanted to tell you my impression and why. Thanks for understanding and for taking my comment in the spirit in which it was written.
