Okay so I did what you said, but I didn't see it apply to my entire page, just the widget itself. Is that not how you add like a "skin" if you will to the whole page, or am I just missing something...?

It is only for a custom box widget not for the whole page.

Actually for your screen 800px may seem too big (say you have a 1280px resolution monitor) but for a HD monitor where the width is 1920+px it is small. So, there is no definite width for your boxes. It will be different for screens.

Oh, maybe you have a smaller screen than I do. I'm not really sure how it works. Just use 750, and then 700 if that doesn't work.

Any image created in any software will work. Your image just need to be jpg, png or gif.

Oh, I managed to fix the problem myself! It turns out that the width of the image I was using was too large, and dA resized it so it got cut off before it got to the end of my custom boxes. I fixed it though! So you can just disregard my question.

Hey, I have a problem and I was wondering if you could help me. My custom box backgrounds have been like this ever since DeviantART's latest update: imageshack.us/a/img853/7913/z6…
As you can see, the backgrounds seem to shrink and get cut off, even though the original size of the background is very large (2500 x 2500 px). It is when I use Google Chrome that my backgrounds appear like this.
When I use Internet Explorer they appear like they should: img543.imageshack.us/img543/27…
But for some reason they just don't appear right when I use Chrome. My friend also told me that my backgrounds appear cut off in Firefox too.
Is there a way to fix this issue? I would really appreciate it.

The image link that you are using must be broken. Try uploading the image somewhere else and get a new link.

No you cannot repeat your image. You need to make your bg longer.
