I haven't tried something like this in a long time so this was definitely a challenge. Overall I'm pleased and happy with the turn out. I tried to add shadows but I still struggle with creating enough contrast and lighting.

I cannot help but wonder if it would be better to have lined it in pen or to have left it line-less like this? Anyway- this pretty grey baby has finally whitened out completely! The pose was way different from anything I've drawn and I'm very happy with both the horse and human anatomy. It's a training show anyway so a great chance to try new techniques and poses! Also, I love TLEC's outdoor arena design- the wood fence with the hedges is beautiful.
